The new bitcoin buyers  are irrational gamblers that will bail out at any sign of weakness.

Serious investors will reconsider this investment proposition.

Sorry to break the bullishness guys!

Buying and selling these swings is the rational thing to do. Just holding and thinking that it's for some greater good is just a case of bad timing mixed with delusions.

It's possible, but don't you think that the hope of another 2013 will keep it going? Not to mention the charts aren't actually showing anything catastrophic at this point.

Exactly this. Since Gemini and NYSE are now in the game, it's normal to have such volatility. We've been going sideways for too long anyway.

The difference is: In the end you want to hold fiat, while other people want to hold bitcoin then. Your implied assumption is that bitcoin fails eventually, while others see it succeed big time.

If you're in the first group, you statements make somewhat sense. If you are in the latter group, you're better off just acquiring a decent stash of bitcoins.

Good morning! 375 resistance still resisting, still in the channel, descending triangle, a lot of movement without any significant news, auction happening today.

This is the "april 2013 bubble" in preperation for the real thing in a few months, proving that the coming halvening has not been priced in in any meaningful fashion.

If the people, who just want to hold bitcoin, would have more skills then grannies playing bingo, then they would eventually hold on to more bitcoins. It's ok if they aren't equipped for the trading game, just it would be great if they'd stop trying to make it sound like doing something noble. Nobody's perfect, just deal with it.

I'm not sure how this auction will take place or what it will look like so correct me if I'm wrong, but an auction is something where bidders try to overbid each other. Wouldn't it increase the value then? Besides who would sell off their bought Bitcoins immediately? Especially such a volume. No, they're going to hold it.

Unless it's a private auction where the public has no idea how much the final bidder actually paid.

We already had 2 similar auctions and the same pattern happens, pump and dump without reason, before auction moon, after auction pigs get slaughtered.

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me

The fact that this insane run-up buying is from the same kind of players that accentuated the 2013 bubble, It could only burst. I think we will go sideways/slow bleed and test support 300 at some point, until the next halving bubble !

Still amazed by the euphoria and empty ask at $500  (not achieved for 2 years) , hoping for more..greed at its finest!

Trading bitcoin is gambling, if you think you have skill, you probably just had a lot of luck.

When did the FBI start controlling Chinese markets in such volumes?

Still the $300 seems like a harsh reality.

Are you kidding me? The govt that takes in 2.6 trillion $ in taxes goes all cloak and dagger to get a couple million more on a silly property auction?

Trading bitcoin is gambling, if you think you have skill, you probably just had a lot of luck.

Gambling is the only thing that bitcoin is good for (ok doing illegal things also, if you're into this). If you don't have skills at gambling, then don't think that it's only a luck game. It's not a coincidence that some people mostly win and some mostly lose. It's just you trying to deny your own inability to comprehend trading. Anyway, gambling with bitcoin hasn't been my game for years now, my crypto game is with alts. Bitcoin is only good if it will stimulate some alts that are strongly tied to it's value. The risk/reward ratio with bitcoin is just out of balance for my taste.

I would not call it harsh reality, I would call it good progress, if 300 holds it would be something, remember only 20days ago we were @ $250. As more realistic we are, more progress we will make. With this pumps and dumps we look like a joke to other serious traders.
