As I expected, the little pump hit heavy resistance, and now we have a nice dump.
Hard crash could start tomorrow, now it's a bit early IMO, needs to break support at 415$ to persuade the panic sellers.

I'm glad that you seem to have been only partially correct on this.

and we seem to be back on our way up?  There may be a decent possibility that we break through the $438, this time and give $448 a run for its money...

Then comes $467... I am having my doubts about being able to penetrate either the $448 or the $467 in the coming several days, but never say never in bitcoinlandia.

Yeah, this doesn't look bearish, so IMO no crashing today, and if 12h MACD divergence turns green, it's possible to break 450$, later 500$... Angry

I personally think it will be interesting to see how the $467 sticking point does, too....

At the moment, I am a tiny bit more inclined towards upward...

a nail biter for me, and seems definitely risky to make any leveraged bets in these circumstances  (on the other hand, I don't do really do any sizeable leveraged bets anyhow... hahahahahaha... I'm too much of a scaredy cat when it comes to leverage in bitcoin in a very, very large majority of circumstances).
The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

all I see is $25 million in leveraged longs compared to 12K BTC shorts. That's money for the taking for anyone with a big enough bankroll.

How's swampnode classic holding up?

Looks like we've moved on to "they fight you" stage.

Bear raids are pretty weak beans these days.

It should not be all that you see, but I agree it is a very decent point and a very good incentive to get us going a little battle here... and like you suggest, a very large incentive to force a downward price direction.

It would be nice if Satoshi could just jump back in again. And tell us he's been to rehab.... for smoking baby hair. Maybe we could stop pushing him in front of every argument then.

They [white guys] developed the scientific method.  Newton's physics. Adam Smith's economics, chemistry, medicine, engineering.

And let's not forget a knack for taking all the credit.

We take credit, but not all credit. We deserve no credit?

@BJA, FWIW this is from a live blog from one of the participants of the just concluded Satoshi roundtable

27 Feb 4:28 PM A suggestion was made for mining companies to consider moving some of their mining equipment to different jurisdictions to reduce the clustering of mining /u/fluffyponyza

I don't know how you reconcile this suggestion with the mining companies monetary self interest.

I saw that. It would be in their long term best interest to get most mining outside China, because if the majority of mining hardware is outside China, then seizing what is left is pointless for the PRC. All they could do is destroy it and reduce the difficulty for non-Chinese miners.

It's just a suggestion and I don't think the miners are forward-thinking enough to go for it. They are more worried about losing their dominant mining position than a nationalization and 51% attack.  This is naive.

I have spent hours catching up on this thread.  Bypassed the posts from JJG and AM.

The only reason btc is going up is because I found out yesterday (Tues) that I am getting a payment in btc tomorrow (Thurs) that is of an exact amount of USD.  So btc going up means I will receive less btc.  Then the btc price will go down.  Never fails.  Never mind all the other reasons you can come up with for the price movements.  Price when I found out I was getting paid, 420 and price now 435.  Will post the price when I receive the btc.  I know you are all waiting with baited breath.

but, it's friday.

That's what I get for working 7 days this week Tongue  Make that Thursday and Saturday Embarrassed

You can all breath easy as I got paid today and they used Stamp's price which was 432 instead of the avg on bitcoinwisdom of 435.  I'm happy at only a 1.5% loss Smiley

btc doesn't move much these days so I don't know why I psych myself out.

I won't subject you wonderful mud people to anymore useless babble Embarrassed
