Wait a bit.I think we are not finished yet.
I could imagine a drop down to $580 within the next 24 hours if not some good news for example by core due to the latest meeting with chinese miners get released.

the only good news that'll come out of it will be how much they all enjoyed doing the conga together. perhaps they claimed it was a social only occasion to get people off their backs. it must be a grind knowing that everything you do is gonna have a few thousand maniacs joining you in spirit to breathe down your neck.

Don't slam us Manic's likely we are 40% of the Kool aid drinking btc hoarders 🌈

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Looks like I finally got my buyable dip. I'll get some now and wait to see if it goes much lower. It's still higher than my last significant purchase on June 23.

Meanwhile, amongst all the FUD and hand-wringing, let's have a reality check:

Things aren't so bad when you step back and take a look at the bigger picture. Not a bad year.

Indeed. I should have said "last 12 months". The calendar year has lots of time left.

Even this calendar year has shown an appreciable rise though. That's pretty much par for the course.

The only calendar year in which the price didn't rise was 2014, and that was the anomaly.

Oh therer 600 goes. Now at 599. When the Coinbase rumors are settled and the block size debate over, and ETH and ETC dies, we are going to the moon... Whenever that is..

We've tested 595, and bounced back. 595 is surely the new floor

Don't be so sure. We tested $560 in June. Anything over $500 will still make this a great year.

That said, this could be the setup for the next serious run up. Whales gotta accumulate and there's nothing like plankton panic to feed them cheap coins.

Isn't this fun?

Where is the "anatomy of a bubble" graph?

I really want to see an updated version of the "multi year cup and handle" chart that someone posted a few months ago - if that's correct we will probably slide a little bit further before completing the handle and then start the next SUPER BUBBLE  Grin

EDIT: it was called "matroska cup and handle", Google image search found a cached copy from here but the quality is really low, and the link doesn't work any more:

If something like that happened to me, I am pretty sure that I would have remembered it.   Shocked

I don't know about fun, because even though I have money prepared for dips, I always get feelings of trepidation when there are big downward corrections (such as those that are more than 10%), because the value of my whole BTC investment goes down, and I never have any real confidence about how much further down the price is going to go.... and usually, i have already made several purchases on the way down, so I get into feelings about how to budget the remainder of my fiat funds that are in my BTC portfolio.

Currently, I am kind of thinking that a test of the mid $500s has a decent chance of occurring (maybe even around 50%).

Of course, the lower we go down in projections, the less likely that it will occur on this run, and I think that lower $500 is fairly unlikely (like maybe in the less than 35% arena)..

I'm thinking less than $500 would be less than 25% chance of occurring in this run.

that's my current thinking and scares me just to specify it..

That looks like bitcoin, and the two bubbles in 2013, and we seem to be in the latest beartrap,no?

It could take a few months or even more than a year before we experience another exponential price growth period, no?

We're due to get some juicy propping up in the UK very soon no doubt. But no one really gives a toss about the UK economy. You can tell because 52% of the electorate who turned out enthusiastically voted to shit all over it.

Hmmmm... regardless of how people voted... The E.U is totally fubar.

The union is destined to failure unless they restructure all the debt, Bretton Woods style..

The Italians, Portuguese, Austrians, French, Spanish, Greek, etc etc banks are all ruined, it is a massive farce.

It is simply the QE to infinity passing of the QE Batton- Euro - Japan- UK- USA and then around we go again.

No loss leaving the union in its current state- and we may not even end up leaving the union...

Or the union could simply implode.

More exit referendum votes in the pipeline for Europe quite possibly.

(but yeah, that "RATE HIKE" we have been promised over and over and over again (both sides of the pond)
is looking a bit off... it is looking like 0.25% rate cut instead... how long until they go NIRP in the US ?

Bring it

No doubt. That still doesn't mean the UK is rather rogered. Maybe they should've voted out and kept it a secret from everyone else for the sake of the nation.
