What's up with Finex?

BFX and Tether are owned by the same people. Don't trust them.

More than the 10 stated minutes in that tweet have passed since phoenix started the maintenance. Smiley

So if BfX is down for 2 hours is that enough to crash the market?

Edit:  Bitfinex is back up.

No, Craig Wright would have to sign a message with one of the Coinbase addresses of the 1st 10 blocks. That for sure would bring about a pretty abrupt crash. (Thank goodness that will most probably never happen. About the same chance as hacking a BTC private key with a Commodore 64.)

Put bitcoin on QVS or HSN for 10 minutes and the market would be owned by grandmothers with Alzheimers buying bitcoins for Christmas presents for little Johnny and Suzy.

Quote from: Source: Alistair Milne, CNBC analysis of Coinbase data
"Anecdotally, everyone I have talked to in the cryptocurrency community has said that Thanksgiving table discussion
was all about bitcoin, and that inspired many family members to buy bitcoin," Kelly said. "I suspect that pattern was repeated across tables everywhere."

everyone got a clue at Thanksgiving.
Now everyone and his brother want to buy in..
No wait.... lemme rephrase that...
now everyone and her/his/(insert tranny pronoun here) sister/brother /(insert tranny term for sibling here) want to buy in...

(oh crap.. did I just open up a can of worms?)

I'm sorry to tell you this but, that's exactly how the Bitcoin community have been for various years already: pretty much nobody cares about any cypherpunk principles nor even if the biggest exchange is printing fiat while the price is going up, this is now exclusively about getting-rich-quick bullshitism. You can even find people telling you to never do anything with your btcs except for "HODLing" them forever, go figure...

What did you think was going to happen? If this idea was ever going to be successful, exactly what you're seeing now is what should have been expected.

Hm. Bit too sleepy of a video for early morning. Here is what I am waking up to:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cirhQ8iLdbw

Japanese teeny-bop girl death metal band. Oddly enough works.

Doki, Doki morning everyone!

how common the names are in their respective countries.

someone should make an app that generates original humorous BTC memes
for every $1000 increase... payment in BTC only.
They'd be millionaires by next year...
