Just checked on the fees that I would need to pay to convert one of my shitcoins into USDT via DeFi and it comes to about $600. For $5000 worth of coins.
We are certainly not at the future of DeFi yet.
The RGB solution coming down the pike would be over the Lightning Network and cost almost nothing using client side validation. That is the future of DeFi.
YUCK! Where was that? I have used Sideswap, and i do not *think* their fees are quite that bad, but maybe so. *edit* Oh, I see... "DeFi". Maybe I am missing the point, but nothing seems more middle of the bellcurve than "DeFi". I always get an image in my mind of Laura Shin talking about it like it's changing the world. But I admit my thoughts are based in ignorance. I've not done much with it, other than try to set up a Monero swap. I've been using 1inch. Just checked again on a Sunday morning fees "down to" $150.

His crashed Duccati that he bought when BTC was $700 per each.. looked pretty damned nice too... and gosh, you might wonder why some peeps never make it even close to fuck you status.
But they have a lot of funzies along the way... and might be crying a lot when they are in their 50s that they do not have much of anything and they are also not feeling like working so much, either.. .... but do they have a choice at that point?
To each their own, no?
hey JJG, why the bad vibes?? I really enjoy reading your walls of text, and I usually adhere to your toughts. But this negativity surprises me. Let him enjoy his wealth. Carpe diem they say. He's not the only one, quite a few of us bought things with bitcoin. Buying something is better than losing your bitcoins gambling them on exchanges. At least you get something to show for them. That's better than nothing. 1 month rental apartment 1 bedroom junior size $30000
I visited a friend yesterday and saw the bike that I had gifted him. a nice $180k bicycle. not sure if he really knows what it means to ride germanys most expensive bike.
i bought like 5 games off steam when they took btc. id have to check the prices at the time but probably comes 15-20k USD per game at this price point today. so call it say around 100 grand.

So, I tested positive for COVID-19.
Good times.
Feels like I've been absolutely smeared by an 18 wheeler.
Have not ever experienced cold or flu symptoms this harsh before.
I'll recover fine. No respiratory congestion at all so far, but Rick said his congestion started on day 3 of the infection, so, we'll see how things go. However, I think Rick did himself no favors with his infection, and ended up contracting secondary conditions because he was working, and not resting.
Thank you, China.
Assholes.
At least we'll both have natural immunity after I recover, so that's nice.
Bed-rest for me for at least the next week.
Have a great Sunday, friends.

So... lambo bores me... Turboprop or jet then?
Been looking at the Cessna Citation Mustang, Cirrus Vision Jet or the Piper M500.
Any thoughts?
Cirrus Vision Jet crashes alot, not sure about the other ones.

It might be worth buying a pulse oximeter to check your blood oxygen levels. They aren't always accurate, but can sometimes give an early warning if you need oxygen. https://www.health.state.mn.us/diseases/coronavirus/pulseoximeter.htmlIf someone has COVID-19, a pulse oximeter may help them keep watch over their health and to know if they need medical care. However, while a pulse oximeter may help someone feel like they have some control over their health, it does not tell the whole story. Oxygen level measured by a pulse oximeter is not the only way to know how sick someone is. Some people may feel very sick and have good oxygen levels, and some may feel OK, but have poor oxygen levels.
Pulse oximetry results may not be as accurate for people with darker skin. Their oxygen levels are sometimes reported as higher than they really are. People who check their own oxygen levels, or those who check it for them, should keep this in mind when looking at results.
Oxygen levels may be low if someone feels short of breath, is breathing faster than usual, or feels too sick to do their usual daily activities, even if a pulse oximeter says their oxygen levels are normal. Call a doctor or another health care provider right away if you have these symptoms.

Get well soon man, and Rick too. COVID-19 can be a nasty SOB. Edit: I second HI-TEC99's suggestion. A pulse oximeter is a nice little thing to have, and is a pretty good indicator of oxygen levels in the blood. I did a test once, by holding my breath for about 1 minute. My oxygen levels gradually dropped from 99% to 89% IIRC. The little thing showed the change in real-time.

She had 2x pneumonia but she got better. We suffered for it I was sick from Dec 31 2019 to Jan 30 2020. Se was sick from Dec 29 2019 to March 10 2020 fever finally left her and heartbeat went to normal. She had lung damage and a cough from the beginning until June of this year! about 17 months. She did have an unknown hidden condition which was found in October 2020 and surgery fixed that. Her lungs started to heal say from Dec 2020 to June 2021.

Picked up a pulse oximeter when this whole COVID-19 shebang started. O2 levels are at 95% and heart rate is pretty steady at 70 bpm. Usually run close to 59-62 bpm when healthy. No fever right now - totally normal. But burned up to 101.x last night before heading back down. Not anticipating any issues fighting this off, based on how I'm feeling presently. I have to think the first day of infection is the worst, provided you don't come down with secondary infections. The 24 hour Advil I took is starting to wear off, so starting to feel a bit cruddy again. Body aches and chills slowly starting to return. I'm actually a little bit upset the fucking horse paste is taking so goddamn long to arrive...
