New coindesk survey: "Survey: Is the Bitcoin Community Just Young, White, Male and Retarded ?"

Reading this thread the answer is obviously YES

That would require people who are actually in the "Bitcoin community" to be on this thread, which doesn't actually appear to be the case.

ive actually never seen the books look so lopsided bearish ... 5000 coin to 250 ($5 gain) ... 5000 coin to 230 ($15 loss) ... of course this means we'll be moving up from here , because the books are a lie and always move opposite to how they appear ...

oh man has the u.s. actually finally wised up and realized they need to outright render all fraudulent digital currencies illegal to preserve the value of the dollar ?

errr...... no.

Hard to say.  There are those who claim Bitcoin was created by the NSA as the ultimate honeypot.  The reasoning goes something like this:

1.  Bitcoin attracts the criminal element <==prima facie, empirically substantiated, currently held axiomatic.
2.  Those attracted to Bitcoin are criminals <==somewhat of a logical leap, but again, shown to be true in 99% of the cases.  Remaining 1% are weirdos who like losing money, so who cares.
4.  Bitcoin is instrumental in fighting crime by impoverishing those who hold it. <==not life-affirming, handicapping the criminal contingent.
5.  What's more, criminals pay for their own demise (arrest->confiscate BTC->sell BTC (to criminals, who else)->rinse->repeat). <==PROFIT!

Bitcoin is best crime-fighting tool ever, Q.E.D. Undecided

THAT'S what capitulation looks like!

not exactly.

my version of the real capitulation would be guys calling for 911 and mama, talking shit here about the worst investment ever & not calling bottoms anymore.

none of this has happened yet.

Come to think of it: if The Bear King capitulated wouldn't that mean we would reverse into a bear market? I'm so confused.

well ... i can't speak for others obviously ... but i'm considered a criminal for various reasons ... and obviously i am a bitcoin trader (successful , oddly enough) ... these two things are not necessarily related ... but ... still ... the possible validity of your statement is not lost on me ... it is important to remember sometimes that bitcoin was created by anonymous hacker(s) and the early adopters were basically anti-government nuts and drug traffickers ... and that's probably still a significant portion of the current user base overall ...

Is $235 considered doom nowadays?  Huh Huh

You would think, since we touched this level 3 times in the past month alone, the bears would just give a shrug instead celebrating like we're at penny BTC already...

about doom....I really dont care, just >

THAT'S what capitulation looks like!

Not here, not now.  Also volume would be a lot higher.

Bid side is very weak as well, although it could be bulls trying for a trap.  I still think were heading lower.

Its not bulls, m8, its chinese bots from goxobi and okgox, every shitty bulltrap or beartrap comes from those shitty exchanges, others just follow, thats how those PnD schemes work, everytime people just follow chinese wash volume created by the bots, its a retarded game.

the fun part about the alts is ... they're all priced in btc ... so if btc ultimately fails / severely loses value , so does every single alt coin ...

This game only works in the short term though.
Anybody who HODL's for 5-10 years wins imo.

I'm also not fan of altcoins, but to be the devils' advocate: Altcoins could have a better performance (compared to BTC), so it could make sense to invest in them. Also, there may be an altcoin - at some point in the future - that could prove to be more successful than Bitcoin in general!

Yep! Just hold btc and you're will be fine even at the end of this year with >1000$ per btc, BUT btc has to retest sub 200$ its inevitable, its not about bear rage and stuff, just look at the charts and incoming next auction, fucking chinese just playing their PnD games everytime stealing $ or BTC from traders who follow their shitty manipulations, its so sad that btc price is being controled by some assholes but nothing we can do with it.

This is the thread where mods troll users. Haven't you noticed that moderators turn into overdrive whenever we get closer to a round page number? This is the bitcointalk zoo.
