I agree every truve Bitcoiner should be praying to god on his knees for this16 months full of bear market, i really hope we can enjy these price for a few years longer. 100ks of Bitcoiners would give away their kidneys if they could get another year or 2 or 3 of "cheap" Bitcoins...

But we shouldn´t be too greedy they said in those seminars, as it´s not about the price but about the technology that makes us happy.
I am very happy that i can give them 80% of my money  for Bitcoins and administration every month. I don´t even look for the exchange rate anymore. Coz when ithen no more needed.... Life is beautiful.  (put in stupid matrix meme here )

I had a dream last night where the coin dropped to 200$. I was soooo happy. I took my life savings and bought in.
Moments later the price shot to 300$.
I sold and was fucking happy


Why can this not be reality?
I want cheaper coins

As i wrote above you shouldn´t be too greedy. Price is only 10% above the one in your dreams. Take some extra loans on your life savings and you will still make enormous profit,You should definitely buy ASAP, coz when the short squeeze start and Wall Street, all the remaining coin will be sold within 1-2 days and we will stabilize at least somwhere around 8 figure.

Seems that the bug was in the script that BitGo provided to recover coins from old-format wallets:

I think I know what happened.
The transaction in question has inputs of 102.27137437 BTC and output of 16.37152845 BTC. The difference is treated as a fee, fees are not explicit.
Now let's convert it to satoshis and write in hexadecimal:
inputs: 0x2,6195,BB9D
outputs: 0x6194,F84D
Yes, this is a fucking 32-bit integer overflow. Whatever software was used, it calculated the sum of all inputs using 32-bit variables, which overflow at about 20 BTC if signed or 40 BTC if not. The fee was supposed to be 0xC350 = 50,000 satoshis, but it turned out to be 0x2,0000,C350 = 8,589,984,592 satoshis.

Well, on the other hand each dump is also weaker than the previous one. Also, Huobi seems to be reluctant to follow suit and right now it is Finex who is trying to push us down, but to no real avail if you ask me.

Quite a huge amount of bids at $225, I guess some people are eager to grab some coins and hope for a dump into their wall. Why isn't the price crashing already? I really would have expected it to go down massively after returning to these levels...

On OKCoin that wall is at 1400 CNY, a nice round number.  Perhaps the 225 USD wall is a reflex of that? (1400/225 = 6.22, a plausible exchange rate for arbitrage.)

To me it seems like the price action of BTC is slowing down. Sideways ... yawn ... pop up or down $10 ... grind a bit up or down, rinse, repeat. We have spent a lot of time in this price area ($210 -$270), and it seems to take more time to break in either direction after working through the resistance or support levels with this range.
Once we get out of this congestion, either way, then I would expect bigger moves, but not before.

EDIT: I think the market is deciding at the moment if we will test the next lower level at $210 or not. Bears trying to grind the bulls down ...

Failure to get above the 30d MA line during the last two rallies is a pretty good indication that the downtrend from $300 still has steam left and will probably test the 78.6 fib level. That's the lowest Fibonacci point, the "line in the sand" if you will. If we break it, watch out. Volume is low as the trading range from January to now is working itself out to completion (to be expected), so it wouldn't be difficult to achieve some panic.

To start the bull engine we either need more demand or liquidate until fewer people hold a larger amount of coins (bought from panic sellers) to reduce supply. A final big shakeout of early adopters and miners below $200 would clear the way for a big bull move.
