Just woke up & looked at the price.
Very disappointing is all I can say.

You shuld be thankful for everyday where you can buy coins still "cheap".

Since our Mod (probably Adam) is in heavy-denial-mode, thats the spirit to post if you want your post to stay here.

It's Blitz and if the world isn't turning the other way around I remember him for being one of the biggest bears around.

Back to the topic , is there any explanation for the drop other than:
- usual weekend bear stuff
- trader adding two 00 to the sell order by mistake
- earlier adopter wanting a new ferrari now?
- china banning bitcoin for the 2015 time this month?

I can't see any reasonable explanation for price drop. I think it's the new normal now, buy weekdays, dump at weekend.

Maybe people are getting frustrated that the price doesn't show any sign of rapidly increasing at any point.
I can't remember the last time we were at a respectable (in my opinion) price.
Disapponting.
Therw hasn't been any great news on big merchants adopting bitcoin for a while.

Plus we've been told there will be several exchanges getting approval to trade soon plus the ETF & yet nothing.

Maybe people just can't be bothered waiting any more.

Are you strong LFC? Are you going to hold the line?

We are all disappointed mate. I'm holding and buying. I'll do the same all the way down. It may pay off.........it may not.

I am willing to take this risk.

Sorry but I don't believe in new merchants going the bitcoin way not for years, because there is nothing to be gain there.
For example bitpay says it has 100k of them. The blockchain has 40k average transactions per day , let's assume another 1.5 offchain and you'll get 1 bitcoin customer per day / merchant. And we exclude a lot of other transactions..

Then we have that link which trolfi posted in which overstock ceo is not so pleased about the sale numbers...
The big guys are doing their homework and they know there isn't much to be expected right now.

But this is going offtopic and since Magsa Himmler has included me on his LIST , i should be careful.

Voted for $230. I think there will not be harsh movements in price until May. And if $210-15 can hold, the price probably will get a little bit higher. Of course, I can be wrong.

I agree with you. Good point. I think the bears won this round. And there won't be much happening for a while. I think the shock still hasn't set in yet for any kind of new movement for a while.

So at what price would you all buy in now? Just curious? Current price? Or a scalp off the steady tag?

I would wait a little bit. If price goes not under $215 next days, I would start to buy at $220, but not all-in. I would never go all-in in such unstable conditions like now.

I heard the beanie babies market is in despair too. Investors are losing hope. Should I buy?

If it stops you boring the hell out of everyone here then sure.

@rjckarke

I am strong, I've never sold anything.
I've been buying & HODLING regularly since last May.
As you can work out from me telling you when I started buying I'm down quite a bit.

I will either succeed or go down with my ship though.

Nothing boring about him. He's cheerleading the bear market, like others here are cheerleading (a non-existing) bull market...

... What leads me to our incoming gigantic short squeeze. When will it come, eventually?

Soon as always?

Despair, now? I don't think so. We should have a nice despair mood about 3 weeks from now.

LFC I am the same

I may be deluded or stupid but I still believe that investing in bitcoin will be the best thing I've ever done.
It doesn't look that way atm but I'm talking about in 10 years time maybe.

Two points:
1) You've been wrong about bitcoin for years.
2) Holding bitcoin is a pure form of speculation.

Inflation is simply too high.  Market cannot absorb 3600 coins a day being dumped by miners.  Price will keep dropping slow until a real bottom is found where big investors know they will make money.  Hopefully the halving solves bitcoins inflation issue.
