Good morning Bitcoinland.
Still under $240 I see, and going sideways.
Could we just have a nice price rise to chase the socktrolls back under the rock from which they they crawled?
They're particularly disgusting this morning.
Count me as one in favor of re-instituting newbie jail, but with an increased duration. 30 days night be sufficient.
Seconded. Can we make a petition? Im shorting here. I think we will drop to 233 before we make our claim back into the 240s You shorting for 4$ profit? That is brave Every penny counts. I have 30 btc on the short. So 4$ is 120$ profit. Loving that margin from BFX Wish okcoin would allow US members. 20 to 1 would make me a wealthy man or broke in a minute Actually it does. Just send coins there and you can trade them for USD and play futures with 10X and 20X leverage. Not that you wanna do that, but... you can. You only have to tell them your ID number or something when you sign up. No ID scans or anything else. Other than that it's pretty fast and straightforward. My advice is to avoid OKCOin leverage unless you really know what you are doing. 3X leverage on bitfinex is more than enough.

Oh and if you are feeling kamikaze-level brave, chinese exchange 796 ( https://796.com/) offers 50X leverage. Margin call with a $3 move, lmao. Good luck with that.

Its says this on my account: "To comply with legislation, users in the US may not pass level 2 verification." So they don't really have any of my information... Trading all of my money would be scary. What if my account gets frozen for verification? Then I couldn't do it and would be out. Are you a US trader on okcoin?

I'll give it a shot, just in case there are some impressionable whales out there. Got to love a rocket gif, always make me smile. Hopefully there's a good reason to use one in the not too distant future though. Price sucks atm. So much potential for the price to rise with the GEMINI exchange in the pipeline, the COIN ETF, NY Bitlicense, GBTC up & trading plus many other positives....... Yet the price continues to tank. There must be a silver lining somewhere soon.... Surely?

Time to learn Chinese. I would go for it, but there would be a fear that the google web translate tool may make a mistake on a word, I click the wrong button, and Im out my life savings

I'm pretty sure OKCoin allows US members too. "To comply with legislation, users in the US may not pass level 2 verification."
That just means that you have lower deposit and withdrawal limits, but if you're only moving BTC in and out it's probably enough for most people here: 1000 BTC per day for level 1.

Right now I don't have funds there, and I'm not from the US, but Level 2 verification is only if you need to withdraw USD. To move funds in and out of OKCoin using BTC you only need level 1 verification, which is just telling them your ID number. With level 1 verification you can trade all you want. It's like bitfinex, to trade you only need to open an account, no verification required.

http://www.wired.co.uk/magazine/archive/2015/06/features/bitcoin-reid-hoffmanvery nice read... But thousands of the world's most creative programmers and technologists recognise the possibilities that it presents. In time, we are going to see the emergence of Bitcoin Googles, Bitcoin Facebooks, Bitcoin Alibabas -- massively valuable companies for which no contemporary analogues exist -- built on the platform's foundations of decentralised trust and programmable money. And there's a very good chance it will happen faster and less predictably than anyone currently imagines.

Why not 100x leverage?
All debt is just money creation...which is theft...from those who are not borrowing.
So, why not 10,000x leverage?
If the we cared about being fair, all debt should be outlawed. It is theft, with a maturity attached to it. All debt is a ponzi if it is more than 1x.

So, why not 10,000x leverage?
Maybe they will allow you to use 10,000x leverage if you have 10 million USD in your account. Trading platforms could lose money if they are offering that.
