Patience is a virtue dontchya know
Says the guy whose monkey sold at 235. JayJuanGee
I'm working on a model for the pain threshold of btc investors. What is the point at which you sell everything, and refrain from telling anyone you know that you even flirted with such a thing? I acknowledge that either of these things could happen, but what is the price point that both do?
Kind Regards,
I've been asking myself the same thing. My lower threshold is 0 USD per BTC. I think it is good for peace in mind. (Don't invest more than you can afford to lose, remember?) My upper threshold for spending / converting bitcoin is more difficult. I have allready spent some on coffee (because it was cool) and on Trezor and a few cryptosteels because it's so convenient for web shopping. But I'm still accumulating. My "stop accumulating" threshold is when it becomes very expensive to increase my stash with a small fraction. I haven't figuered out the exact number yet.

Patience is a virtue dontchya know
Says the guy whose monkey sold at 235. I think you have me confused with someone else, I sold at 270-272 and then bought back in my stated accumulation zone 220-230 and then sold a handful (20) at around 235, only to accumulate more back down near the 220s. I have repeated this a few times in this zone, but only with a handful...my position is locked and loaded, and I am still waiting patiently. Stops in place though, but I am protected by the fiat I have made in past few weeks... If they are gonna bring me my dooooooooooooooooooom then they had better make it shnappy. I am sick of waiting... I have almost given up hope of doooooooooooooom now, but no bother, my position now is more than satisfactory. My play has not changed since I posted my call and trades... Just letting it play out, without a care in the world... Patience. (edit and besides I have my actual coins held in cs for over three years.) Fair enough.

It's actually a sneak preview of the Winkles talk tonight, without the hand movements But seriously, what do we think the market reaction will be to them announcing the launch of Gemini tonight? Surely that must be almost certain after posting that picture of the baby in the promo cap ... handing out caps, pens and keyfobs is not gonna be enough now. I was unsure if it would be annonced tonight, but now it feels more like they will look a bit daft if they don't ... TBH I had expected to wake up and see the price a bit higher after that pic

I'm starting to wonder if we'll get a bitcoin trade surge if Bitmains new S7 machines, rumored the be released in July, are competitively specced. A lot of people will want to pay with BTC.

Bitcoin is having a tough time breaking through the high 220, low 230 major resistance line.
Doom or boom, leaning towards doom atm.

Hey what is going on with this site? It's not showing the correct prices. http://bitcointicker.coFor Bitfinex: Look at the 7 day graph the graph shows it at below 225 now. Look at the 30 day graph and it shows it at 225 now. the 12 hour the 3 hour and the 24 hour graphs don't even work. Is there another site that is as good? This one is broken.

Another day of boring, sideways action by the looks of it. Boring as hell but incredible really that we seem to have reached a state of equilibrium after months/years of sharp/rapid pumps & dumps. It feels strange to check the price most days and see the daily change as 0.15% (just an example). I remember seeing 20-30% swings daily, it's almost surreal, manipulated even. I do think we'll take a big move either way before the summer ends, this is bitcoin, bitcoin doesn't do boring for long.

That is probably a good thing and spells doom for the bears. What we need is long term investment. Nobody does that except those who invested at 3 dollars. If we can get more long term investment, bitcoin will live. But too many people think it's going down to 70 or lower. If this is the low price then it's very good news. Although at the beginning of the year we had 158 .
