Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Now we watch the bull despair begin to rise as the price stubbornly stays sub 240, leading to an eventual fall back to 220 <200
Yup, you can't get despair from bulls above $200. I think most of us are prepared for a $120-$150 drop if need be. But $220? Pfff.... Agree! I'd be pretty worried if we went below maybe $150 but despair at $220  Not a chance, I'd barely even raise an eyebrow, we've been kicked senseless for 18 months by this violent bear market but a $10-15 drop is nothing. Likewise any pump that fails to break $300 is a bit meh too. I want $450-$650 by the end of summer. Choo Choo Song!Not really apt, but fits the mood I'm in. |

That'd be a nice sight mate, I hope we can reach figures like that by the end of summer, 300 USD would do for me though if I was offered that kind of price now I'd be happy. I reckon we might have to wait until the halving next summer to get to figures like 600+ USD. I'd love to be proved wrong though, I am more than often with my price predictions  Gemini could give us a pump upto near 300, so hopefully that's not too long away. |

I notice the big difference between the Bitstamp price and the prices on the other two exchanges has been ironed out. As soon as the banks opened this morning people must have started sending money to buy the cheap Bitstamp coins for arbitrage. |

Some thoughts. I am totally indifferent atm. Still, I am bull enough to suppose an underlying uptrend (slow). 1. Optimum to 500+ and subsequent correction to 350-400 2. Flashcrash to 150 and rise to 240-270 (stable) or 500+ (optimum) 3. Flashcrash to 150 and slower correction to 100- then stable (90-120) or back to trendline (240-270) 4. Stable (240-270) I can not say which version I favor. I give each version 25% probability. If many of us think the same. The outcome could either be stable until the end of days or we could see short lived volatility (up or down) and after that stability, stability, and stability.  |

I think both our opinions don't count in the bigger game, that bitcoin is. BTW - If nothing unexpected happens, I think we have almost everything, that can go wrong with bitcoin priced in already (=floor). In other words. Bitcoin is heavily underpriced as soon, as the the blocksize debate is solved or outplayed. |
