I understand that, and I would like to see a poll on that too; however, since the actual event is so long into the future, it seems that it would clog up the polling system (unless there can be two polls at a time?)... I mean the basic logic that a September poll would not close until September.

Regarding your 95% prediction... gosh.. that is a pretty decent topic too, and I enjoy those kinds of topics.....  yet, I am hardly that certain about anything in life, including what I am going to eat for dinner a few hours later, even if I have made preparations.

So, yep.. it is interesting both in terms of how high the price will be, and what is the likelihood that it will get to that predicted price.  At least the time frame would be set, but there are two more variables.

In the past, I have played around with these kinds of predictions in the past to attempt to assign my ideas of probabilities to various outcomes, and it tends to be a good exercise  to also attempt to align your own investment level with your view of various possible outcomes.

Accordingly, I would venture to assert my view that there is a 95% chance the price will be higher than $350, but maybe I would be too scared to assert greater than a 70% chance that the price would be higher than $450... I still consider myself bullish though...     

You are bullish bro, but you calculate it a lot.

As r0ach said, (It will not play out like last time.  The timelines between cause and effect will likely be shorter, and there is more expectation of profits, so it's likely to pump harder beforehand.)

Halving is NOT priced in, fireworks is a MUST.

I checked the charts for the last halving, it went up a bit then flatlined for a month or two afterwards. A few months later was when it started going up in price, then mooning. If history repeats itself then September sounds good for fireworks.

I find the idea of going to mars a bit better. I mean even elon musk is aiming there. We can't be worse guys.

I dont consider the halfing bullish or bearish
It certainly can't be priced in beforehand because its very much unknown how it will effect the network
On one hand we have half the supply, on the other hand chaos may ensue if miners become drastically unprofitable and hash rate drops accordingly.
so my thinking for halving halfing? is that we will price it in after the fact, if it goes well UP, if SHTF down.

personally i think everything will be just fine, we MIGHT have a small temporary drop in hashrate but Shit will not Hit The Fan. not really willing to place a serious amount of money either way tho.

I was probably under the legal limit... i had 1 bottle over a prolonged period.
In anycase the key to breaking the law is only to break 1 law at a time.
If you stick to that rule you'll be fine.

Wow, you live in Quebec - fascinating. The only thing that comes to mind for me is the Nordiques from forever ago. I see the ignorance for crypto is the same up there as it is in the Ann Arbor-Detroit corridor. Small world I guess./ I'll trade ya cities for a week just as an experiment.

born and raised in Montreal, 1/4 native.
lol the Nordiques, its called the Montreal Canadiens these days. ( which is odd since quebec hates being part of canada, dumb separatist...  )
I think bitcoin adoption is extra slow here because of the language barrier ( its mostly french )

Still an interesting place to live w/i the same country, like one of those unique places that almost doesn't make sense to exist. Since you're on the parcel of the motherland of the UK, which is being hustled by Yobama, it's amazing that things can be somewhat different in this neck of the woods. I'm glad for you that you were born there and still live in such a unique place. Not many options for difference here in the US unless you are and FSPer in NH - and even that doesn't offer much difference in living from the rest of his place.

as much as i hate the politics here, We do have a lot of diverse cultures, which creates a unique place to live. our government is hell bent on "preserving the french culture" which has led to crazy laws recently, when we send our kids to english school these day they are enrolled in a 80-20 program ( 80% french 20% english ) thats an "english school" is in quebec... i think our government is Fing stupid, they dont seem to realize that the culture isn't tied to language, french or english we are all bad ass quebecers with little respect for authority, we all eat poutine and live in igloos with our pet beaver.
