Decision confirmed today. No withdrawal from the Winklevii. I think there's something to be deduced from that.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

I see things haven't changed much since I went back to bed... $1226USD (Bitcoinaverage).

It's gone back to pretty much sideways after the crazy spikes up and down 3 hours ago.

I haven't mentioned coffee in months but I think I need a cup now. This could be a long day.  Smiley

Jim:

You make the market movement sound so blah zhe.....

You are not excited.

Those spikes were ATHs and We had crazy ass volume, crazy ass movement, and even the settling point seems to be a bit over 5% higher than it was 24 hours ago.

This has got to be exciting, and I still am not really sure about the plausible explanation for it all... just seems like ongoing and positive price pressures that continuing to be bullish and maybe even likely that we could get another spike in the coming days- even if we do not hear anything further about ETF until Monday

He's Marketwatch reporter who specialises in ETFs. That makes him a rather more reliable source of information than me.

I try not to get too excited about the price.

Having ridden the roller coaster since it was $15 in early 2013 (furious I couldn't get my hands on any until it was $68) through the ups and downs ever since, I've tried to maintain an emotional detachment.

Those spikes were ATHs and We had crazy ass volume, crazy ass movement, and even the settling point seems to be a bit over 5% higher than it was 24 hours ago.

Up is good but we're still all waiting... and holding tight.

At my age I've learned to be patient, especially with civil servants. Bunch of canine copulators.  Tongue

Makes sense - looks like as good as we'll get and assuming it's true it will make for an interesting weekend...

This decision was probably made not today, because they have some Summit today, so why they haven't posted info yet?

I am starting to think the decision hasn't been made, that is the only reason to delay. If the SEC wanted to impact the market as little as possible, they would have announced a couple of weeks ago. Pushing it to the very last moment is strange and makes me think the SEC doesn't really care about this market at all. No respect for the market does not bode well for me, that means they won't care if they tank the price with a last minute rejection....

What is the penalty if they refuse to say anything, even by Monday?

Would they be subject to some kind of damages or public lawsuit or what?

Let's play some poker. Is he hiding something? Is it yes or a no? Im sure he knows.

I have a personal theory, I think it will not pass and they have pumped and dumped it to showcase how volatile the market can be (which is a good thing since bitcoin is still tiny, so it means there is an huge upwards potential) but those bureaucrats don't like volatility and will use it as an excuse to not pass it.

Of course, maybe it passes and we are sitting on 3000 by tomorrow... we'll see.

My biggest concern right now is BUcoin and the china Psyops Jihan Wu in order to become the dictator of bitcoin. Hopefully we can get rid of these cunts without killing the entire project in the process.
From this thread:

Kind of funny actually. Smiley

I think it has to come out today, or else the ETF is automatically approved that is my interpretation of the dates and timing of the filings and extensions. My guess it comes after markets close and they will let the weekend sort out the market price for two days before COIN is for sale.

Number one rule of every bureaucracy is to postpone every decision until the very last possible minute. A way to stress how important and indispensable they are.
