I have a feeling that bitcoin will go up to 1400... what do you guys think ?

It must first break the Bitstamp high of $1350.

Until then, anything can happen - even a double top and a crash back to 1000 or worse. But at this very moment it doesn't look like that (second attack to $1340 is building up) - I think we'll see a new Bitstamp ATH before the weekend.

1500 by early July ... conservatively.

The March-June exponential doubling blow-off didn't eventuate so we relax back to the slower organic exponential growth rate ... and the exponential doubling blow-off is probably still in our future for this bull leg up (which is proving to be very long and resilient by bitcoin's historical behaviour).

Why is there a $45 spread between Coinbase and Bitstamp?

Why is there a $45 spread between Coinbase and Bitstamp?

They have always been really weird, but Coinbase always seems to have a wider spread than most other exchanges regardless. I rarely see Coinbase showing a value similar to the spot price on other exchanges. Not sure why this is, but that's just something with their market. I'm thinking it has something to do with the volume.
BTC-E is showing something close to $69 below Bitfinex, but we all know the reason for that.

I sold .50 BTC today on Coinbase to pay the electric and the spread was around 20.00

When I sell its a greater spread but when I buy, its more spot on, closer to averages. I have always assumed that's just how they make their money... buy low sell high

it is becoming a normal thing apparently! bitfinex being super high and bitstamp dragging its ass down, lower than any other exchange! i think they want to compete with btc-e to take their position on being always behind the market price.

I have a feeling you need to be mentally insane to buy bitcoin with a $300 spread with China and $100 spread between ScamFinex and everywhere else.  You see Adam pop in and out of here cheerleading the carnage but you know damn well he's not buying right now lol.  This market is a trainwreck.  What the hell am I even looking at?  A $20-$25 spread used to mean "welp, that's it for this pump, time for the crash".  Now it's just Bernie Madoff/Gox style scam spreads everywhere and people don't even seem to care.

Can't wait to see what excuse the exchanges come up with when this thing blows up:

Similar situation full of disbalances however did not prevent bubble back in 2013   and majority of investors here have gambling streak. So the rise will only run its course until it exhausts itself on major resistance or Finex goes bankrupt. Whatever comes first. 1500 is reasonable price to close our position and wait for the reckoning.

We've seen 1250. Are we rich yet?

And did we break it or stay there? While bad news keep mounting up and volume dried up?  Ah, screw it, I am betting meager 50 dollars I have right now on Okcoin, just to prove you, I mean bussiness. Maximum leverage on shorting.

I have rest of the funds off exchanges for the time being.

I see most ETH people are those believe in authoritative figures that missed Bitcoin train. ETH is perfect for them. Human stupidity is infinite after all.
