He is praying for the price to go to single digits ROFL! Tongue

lol indeed.

But Smoothie promised us 200$ for today, which is loler  Lips sealed

The funny thing is you have no reference that I PROMISED anything.

I put out a guess which is hardly a promise lol.

Once again fail...you're good at that aren't you?  Tongue

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Don't know if this has been mentioned but looks like Silkroad may be down for a while:

"UPDATE (04/30/2013 0035 UTC): We have come a long way in the battle, but still do not have the upper hand. It's looking more and more like a restructuring of the tor software or even the tor network will be required to mitigate the kind of attack we are under. If this can be solved by modifying the tor client software running the silk road .onion, then it will be a matter of patching and redeploying the hidden service. If it is a network issue, it will require the cooperation of the Tor developers, or running a new network of nodes. I haven't given up hope for a faster solution, but if one can not be found, then we will move to a semi private scheme where users will be given access through many private URLs. I'll keep everyone updated on how we will move forward, but please be prepared for a few more days at the least of no access."

I got a bad feeling that we got a top at 266, crashed, worked our way up to 165, crashed, worked our way up to 147, crashing... What will the next "high" be? 127? and then a new crash... I hope I'm wrong!

Only problem for individual in that scenarios would be if he doesn't capitalize that and finish with more coins. I'd rather have 1000 coins worth 1$ each than 10 coins worth 100$ each in 2 months.

I already increased my amount of coins with 30% since the 266 crash so I'm good on that side. It's the future of BTC that worries me, if people see BTC as a ponzi/pyramid scheme then it wont have any future at all...

This is just a multiple day triangle forming.   Notice that while each high is lower, each low is also higher.   Where we break to from there is anyone's guess.   News is quite bullish, while sentiment is a bit bearish right now.   Everyone is waiting to see where it goes, and thereby causing the lack of movement.   Hopefully this turns out to be a long period of consolidation.

Well, to be honest, that's something those that hoard thousands of coins should think about, not me. They are ones who should treat bitcoins as currency primarily for it to be treated as one by me. I don't intend to spend my few coins as I can't afford myself to acquire new ones after that - my only option is to try to have them more by hit and run tactics  Tongue. They can and if they won't, it's their problem more than my, they have much more to lose. I'm not here to make them multimillionaires  Wink Cheesy

Why would anyone want to DDos silk road? I mean they're a shop!

But thanks for the info.

In fact, your scenario seems flawed too.

You take for granted two very strong assumptions:
1/ You'll be lucky enough to anticipate and make money from up/down reverse
2/ What worthed 140$ yesterday, and worth 1$ today, should worth 2$ again, if not 500$

1st is what I would hope to be, if not, then I'd fail to capitalize and that's the only problem I noted there. It wouldn't be first time I failed so it wouldn't be too big shock though  Grin
2nd is exactly why I said I'd rather have 1000 coins worth 1$ than 10 coins worth 100$ now, not sure what was unclear there.
