Jim Cramer talking shit again. Says he believes a couple hedge funds have been bidding it up and cornered, and once futures comes online he's expecting a big short pounding.

I never liked those super-expensive cars... Most of them are way over-priced, offer no real design/technology innovation, consume lots of fuel, and some are really ugly to my taste (Lambos included).

I'd prefer a good Japanese, super-reliable and normally-priced car. Or a car with real innovation in its design, like a Tesla (provided they sort out their QC issues).

Definitely. I'm currently driving a 2000 TDI VW Jetta with 280,000 miles I paid cash for. I've had a new car on my radar for a while now but this one just keeps on keeping on. My replacement wishlist is pretty modest too (though it does include a Tesla Cheesy).

You´re boring.  I want a Electro-Porsche.

Minimum.

I had an XK8 for a while but that got totalled. I actually preferred driving a G37 though (The looks were a bit mundane for my taste however).

Soon, brother. I am awaiting their arrival myself. Right around the next block-halvening, as coincidence would have it.

I don´t want no brother. I just want an Electro-Porsche . . . .  Smiley

I would never own an all-EV car that didn't have a multi-year tried and true, road-tested battery system that I could rely on for at least 8-10 years... otherwise...

Depends. I really like good quality Porsches and such: Quality costs money and if you buy quality over hype then you can really enjoy your purchase. Yes, Lambos are mostly hype, I haven't driven many Ferraris but then V12 engines sound goooooooooood. When they run.

But yeah there is a big difference between my Prius and any of the Porsches.

Linki, please.
Way back when I was a tot, a number of friends founded a major ISP. With that one of the founders (a true hacker type) didn't get stock, but did get a brand new Maybach for his time. Year or so later his apt lease ended and he didn't have a place to live.

So he just moved into the Maybach. Would park it in million dollar home neighborhoods in the evening, curl up in the back, sleep, eat, live. The champagne chiller and built in fridges were nice, as were the automatic curtains and such. Took his showers at the office, and lived a homeless man's life. Likewise his sound system was amazing....

No one ever hassled him for the 6 months he did this. And the fact that his car was worth more than my house (and was nicer to boot) made class comparisons pretty... meaningless.

Meantime Bitcoin seems stuck at 15k and litecoin's jumped to 125. Switching to LTC for small stuff, how is the dumping of bitcoin trash going?
