I'm glad I made my fomo mistakes well before this dip.  Otherwise, I'd probably be making some pretty awful decisions today and posting a whisky fueled rant on here right about now.

Instead, my fiat arrived this morning to my exchange and is now converted to BTC.  BTFD FTW.

I did however, do my crypto currency good deed for the day and talked a couple friends off cliffs today. They recently bought a ticket on this roller coaster and haven't seen this much red before.

Why not sell? Because criptos is not like wallstreet, where you can sell and rebuy with better price... this is too fast... you probabily will lost the right time to rebuy with good price and will lost money... at last if you have a bot to do it. Im a holder. Strong hand. Just enjoy the ride guys. In few days will back to 20k. 100% shure

No, hodl, keep your eyes on the mempool, only going up! Bitcoin has only ever gone up! Everyone wants BTC even if it drops to -70% just keep hodling and believe in the revolution! Just open a tab and wait until schnorr! Adam Back is the greatest of all time!   What's the WORST that could happen?

Hahaha I'm not a financial advisor. He had less than a week's paycheck worth in bitcoin. He said he has never seen bitcoin go down. I simply showed him charts.

I think helping and talking to new people entering crypto world is a good thing. How do you ever expect mass adoption to happen if everyone is misinformed and scared of Bitcoin. At least he knows what he is getting into now.

Aside from the need for a serious correction after such a crazy run-up this year, I think at least part of it is the South Korean exchange Youbit filing for bankruptcy after being hacked by North Korea.

Edit: If you look at the daily charts, there were also some technical indicators pointing to a significant correction--namely price-MACD and price-volume divergences.  The beginning of November, when the Segwit2x fork was canceled, was the last time there was a price-MACD divergence.  Price dropped about 30-35% during that correction.
