I looked at hourly stats from Bitstamp in 2017, and the biggest drops from ATH look like this:

ATH =  2631.204711 ->  1860.808877  (100% -> 70.72% drop)
ATH =  4941.708812 ->  3011.191850  (100% -> 60.93% drop)
ATH =  7719.501657 ->  5704.976298  (100% -> 73.90% drop)
ATH = 19572.557343 -> 13775.041897 (100% -> 70.38% drop)

This last one seems pretty average, no big deal.

Any idea what is driving this selloff and volatility ?
This is bitcoin. It's going up because it's going up and down because it's going down. That's by far the biggest thing driving it.
Hodling and planning to buy some cheap coins in a week or 2.

You forgot 1163 to 152. 384 if you want to be generous.

Yeah, I was looking at second half of 2017 actually.

We might dip below 13000 yet... but I'm guessing we'll stay above 12000.

I admit to being one of them now. Little by little, I give. I had my fun.

But this is just depressing.

The master did claim 10k would be tested again.

The problem is he warned us that the bubble was over if we tested 10k from 20k rather than 17k, which is what is looking like is going to happen here.

‘But the price can simply stupidly drown the bubble further. And in that case, I strongly doubt that we will see something more than 20-30k any more. Because 10k is not tested, it means that we will fall on it no matter where. And if with 30 we fall to 10, then the bubble caput. And if from 17 to 10, it seems like no. ‘

Just a little break to destroy the day traders and the hairdressers that just found out about bitcoin and are trying to get rich overnight. Did you really think that these motherfuckers were going to be in the 1% wealthiest ? After this (who knows how long it will last) we will see another all time high. And the history will repeat every time until the market gets rid of the losers.

This is getting crazy pretty fast!
We'll be back to November prices if this crash continues for long!

The fees are a joke though, I can see why people would jump ship when the fees are 1000sats per byte. I guess only the people with coins on exchanges will dump though, it's too damn expensive to transfer to dump!

Summary:STRONG SELL
Moving Averages:SELLBuy
Technical Indicators:STRONG SELL

Classic   13104.0
RSI(14)   38.571   Sell
Bull/Bear Power(13)   -379.7780   Sell

Ha ha, selling after the selling has already occurred. I would also consider advising to buy when no one is buying at the top.

Exactly what i was saying. These arrogant cocksuckers (geniuses because they only experienced up and up) who just try to leech off bitcoin and have never experienced a bear market need to be erased from Bitcoin and stay in their place, as cab drivers.
