Funny you should say that given you're the one mostly looking at BtcChina and claiming all the other exchanges have to adapt to their low price.

There cannot remain such discrepancies in price. Since btcchina cannot follow price on other exchanger. Chinese and their arbers will arb to take the gift of an insta profit.
Price will level out, with max 5% difference, to the downside on other exchange and upside on btcchina. So around 8-10% less in the coming days on stamp irrespective of coming price fluctuations.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

At some point, probably in the not-so-distant future, I will only hold. Against USD that is -- altcoin bubbles will continue to be easy to play, I think. But these are the times to day trade bitcoin. We won't have these swings forever.....

I disagree,,, we will have these swings for months until we find another market (big adoption) while China is fading out.

I mean, generally. I told myself this bubble (and the post-crash swings) would be the last times I day trade against fiat. But we'll see.

Has anyone used ICBIT or BTC.sx for margin trading?

ICBIT seems to only do futures, while I can't find any leverage setting on BTC.sx...

Bitfinex is having issues after their release today...

I'm still having a hard time figuring out how arbitrage is happening. The price difference would necessitate people looking for ways to do it, but how? Do you mean Chinese traders dumping on western exchanges? Can they get their fiat?

this, and this was for sure a contributing factor to the crash.

Come on. Isn't the market cap and liquidity high enough to absorb a few hundred k being thrown around nowadays?

YES ...gee i have been saying all these times..... Chinese have no problem wiring money into China.

Heck the government even encourage capital pouring in.

With banking network they got, its just a matter of wiring.

My XBT Withdrawal made yesterday was held back and this evening I was blocked from RMB and XBT withdrawals. (My account reflects my balances but withdrawals are frozen for now.)
Crikey...that doesn't sound too good.
So, any reason from your end that may have happened?
I'm getting worried that the next time I log in I'm going to get a 404 and this lot will have disappeared with a stack of coins.

Not sure I have 3 accounts with the same e-mail domain and cell number, and a few failed RMB withdrawals otherwise low volume and no pump and dump behavior I am sure it will be sorted tomorrow (I have a mandarin employee looking into it so I will have an answer tomorrow.)
Best of luck.
I just emailed them again but they seem to have me on 'ignore' now.
Gutted.
I guess it helps if you use QQ and can type in Chinese.

So what happened is my RMB transfer was reversed, so I bought more XBT (hey it was on sale).

I then tried to withdraw the XBT, and my account was frozen.  After chatting with QQ support, they tell me the RMB transfer was successful and I must now sell my XBT to cover the previous RMB withdrawal that was reported as failed.  Problem is XBT is selling @ RMB 200 below where I bought in. Anyway my account is still frozen and I can’t do anything so next update tomorrow.

This could be a glitch in there system, or happening to others.

well sure

but its not like goat bought back in...

alot of poeple place bids only to immediately place and ask for 5% more, flood the market with coins at the very top, and its going to crash the next day.

obviously 250 alone wouldn't have had that much of an effect, but you can't say it wasn't a factor.

You know, on April 5th one bitcoin was worth 1/300th of a 2007 Porsche Cayman S.

And on Dec 12th one bitcoin was worth 1/216th of a 2014 Lambo Gallardo.

I'm talking of a one time Arb.
Buy with available CNY on btcchina. Send coins to stamp, sell at better price, transfer USD back to china or elsewhere. Yes, There is absolutely no restriction for a chinese to receive USD transfer from abroad.

Anyone listening to this clowns is a moron, full stop. They speak nonsense and are mostly clueless. Quark is an instamined scam, very insecure because of its fast maturity. That's so obvious that is painful.

I'm amazed by the amount of supporters Max Keiser has on this forum. It's pathetic.
