I've had three friends pull their money out and walk away from bit coin over the past few days.

Well done market makers / manipulators!

Really?   They didn't know going in that this happens?   I am very careful to explain the risks and how these things work to my friends.   Not one is less interested now than they were, which is to say most are quite sorry they didn't buy when I told them they should  Tongue

Did your friends lose money?

He lost about 3-4K $... oh well

There was a lady who bought at $1000 posting on this forum who had to take out a loan on their house to buy her first BTC. Kept talking about her dad investing 3000 BTC and trying to convince her to make her first buy. I wonder what happened to her.  Embarrassed

I'm still here Smiley. Still reading... Still 'hodling'. I paid $1080 for each of my 11.1 bitcoins and have not sold - I rationalise this like so: bitcoin is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it right? And I refuse to sell them for less, which means they are still worth at least $1080 . Ergo, I have lost no money Wink. How's that for a comforting delusion?

That's not delusion, an unrealized loss is not a loss. I wish I had that strength-- if you continue your patience, you will be rewarded like so many else who have held. Hopefully, it's not rent money, and you don't need to touch it for several months or a year. Smiley

Mad props for even finding my post. Money is on loan against the house right? Need to calculate loan interest and compare it to BTC EV - Tough call. Good luck to you!!! Smiley

Listen, I read loaded's posts. You guys have to understand that if he really was carrying bags of cash, he would not have been able to set foot on Chinese soil.

What makes you think getting money into China is hard? That is what China does. They run huge trade surpluses. Just with the US it's like 300 B USD every year.

Invoice manipulation is a huge way to get USD in.

You guys are missing the point and extrapolating into something I spoke nothing of... I stated that Loaded himself would not be able to move the amounts required with him under the pretenses assumed from his posts.

I never stated that certain financial structures would not allow you to move capital in sizable amounts into and out of China.

If someone wants to explain a noob what this wall means, it's appreciated.

My nooby guess right now:
So ok, he sells 4500 coins at a certain prize, and keeps lowering so people buy them.
This seems noobish cause you would not sell so many coins this way cause it lowers the price you get for them putting it that into the open.
Therefore it could be 'fake' just to make the price go down.. for some reason.
Ok, no expert here either, but if you seriously wanted to sell 4000 coins, this is by _far_ the most stupid way to do it. Of course you want to sell for maximum profit, so why move down in such short intervals? It would be better to sell it in small chunks to get a higher profit. In other words, this stinks and is just a cheap trick to drop the price short term .... but I'm not saying this is a bad thing Wink

Good job wall guy, this is hilarious.

edit: You can clearly see he isn't interested in selling it, just making the speculators trip face.

What this $4k wall tells me is that somebody with big money is trying to make the market go down so they can buy cheaper coins. I see it as (1) blatantly obvious manipulation, (2) bullish.  Grin
