So I am looking at Bitstamp 6hr price chart, and it seems to me we are meandering in a very gradual and steady rise higher over the last 2 weeks. I suppose a whale will just dump it again and we will repeat. We can wait for as long as it takes! Eventually these whale sabateurs will run out of bitcoin.

Try tracking a 50-channel DAW session at 24-bit/96kHz though top-flight conversion (e.g., Apogee), with all the plugins needed for a good mix, on your Androne, and let me know how it goes.
why would you bother doing that on a phone. i would think at that point you would have easy access to dedicated equipment. Took the words out of my mouth. Any real computing, I do on a real Win7 Laptop (HP Probook450 with i7-6500U, 16gbDDR3, 500GB M-2 MVMe boot SSD, additional 1tb sata storage SSD,etc). Runs circles around any silly little phone. I don't usually even keep a SIM card in my Android device. Only in Mexico where I don't usually have cell access. I use it mainly as pocket-sized wifi access when I go out of town and as a camera. The SIM is in the name of a Mexican woman and the only place I can occasionally get a signal in town is standing under a 1000-year-old sacred tree. Only thing I connect to in Toronto is public wifi hotspots. My Toronto SIM card is not associated with any name and is in an ancient Samsung Rugby flip-phone. I value my anonymity. _______ @jbreher, jojo69, micgoossens: Sorry if the price follows me south again. Actually I think we broke the pattern. Sure it dipped when I went down in November but it didn't rally when I got back in December. Maybe It'll go up this time. _______ Gotta head out now for some Friday night fun. See y'all at the crack of noon.

Just curious... What you guys would say is the probability YOU give to Bitcoin to be over $10.000 at any moment during the next 4 years? honestly.

100.1% No, really. Even 100% would be way too much.

High. But I think it's going to be long road with much adversity. Despite it being half the ATH, I think a return to five figures will be the equivalent of getting back over $1000 and that was a three year grind. It'll be a huge hump that needs taking out and once it is a great deal of confidence will flow back in from the outside.

Being my idea of high 80%+ Yeah, once $10K is reached that would mean a great deal of confidence as you say.

There'll be many, many more people watching intently this time around compared to besting $1000 once again.

20%-30% of not happening I will have to deal with that... I am going to do the most risky bet of my life (which is not much to say as I am extremely conservative) based on that perception. Wish me luck I will probably be ok even if I am wrong or things doesn't happen as I do expect as the most probable outcome.

Bitcoin has way more failure probabilities, sorry. Even r0ach himself can confirm this affirmation.

Do not put yourself in a position where you are overinvested and feel you have to cut your losses. Only invest what you are prepared to hold firmly until well after next halvening. If you want to be conservative, wait until we break the long term bear line. 2014 suggests we will break it around this price level in October 2019.

I can hodl it all right now. I am just going to morgtage again, for second time in my life, for another property that I feel know it is clearly well under market price. My regular income cannot cover it, but I do have enough FIAT savings to pay it for almost 10 years even with no income and without having to sell my Bitcoins. I guess the worst that it could happen is that I would need to sell the property (probably for more than I am buying it). As I said I am extremely conservative, but it is more risky bet I have ever made in my life. Wouldn't like to have to sell my Bitcoins at a "bad price". But I can perfectly hodl for 5+ years no matter what. It's just that I thought I would never buy anything on debt/mortgage again (already paid my main home).... but sometimes you don't have any choice if you don't want to miss the train. If Bitcoin pumps sometime in the next 5 years I will have made the best decision in my life. If it doesn't, I will probably have to sell the property. Hopefully not losing any money, but it will be a failure for me.

Sorry to go into granular details, but if your income cannot support that second (presumably larger) property, how do you know that they will give you a loan? Based on what? Your savings? Last time I refi, they were real bastards about everything. I keep a large part of my portfolio in most safe investments (or those that I think are safe), which allows me to go crazy on risk on some other parts, albeit risky stock bets seem to mostly not work in the last couple of years.
