Boy that was a slap in the face of an otherwise reasonably stable chart.

just a useless attempt to spread panic i think Large dumps have corresponded with the forum going down since as long as I've been paying attention (March 2013). IIRC, evidence of DDoS attacks on the forum exist and I believe the admin have confirmed this several times. The other logical explanation is that "everyone rushes to bitcointalk.org when they see a big dump."

just a useless attempt to spread panic i think *sigh* There was a downwards following wall of more than 4000 BTC a few weeks ago on Stamop. There will be no panik, and the seller knows that. It will be go up, sidewards, or downwards, but without really bad no news, no chance for panic.

The Chinese pandas bears at Huobi took over at ~22:0 21:00 local time and undid most of what the bulls did over the last two days.
(Usually, almost all Huobi's traders are in bed at 02:00 01:00 am; but today it's 5:00 04:00 am and some are still trading.)
I have conflicting information about the bank holidays in China. Some pages say that banks will reopen only on Feb/07, others say that they should be open today, but with reduced hours. Which is right?
Even if they are open today, I suppose that it may take a coupls of days for deposits to reach the exchanges, right?
(BTC-China is still in zombie mode.)

Not much happened after the stamp dump. Doesn't look like we are going down, even with the dumps. So just wait till the chinese banks are back and there is only 1 way to go.

That big dump in stamp gave me two thoughts: 1) An old miner/investor saw that the price isn't going anywhere, but he was in profit anyway so he just dumped, without caring much about the loss of an sudden dump. 2) The current stability is is an illusion created to keep the price high so "the right people" can get their money out with better profits. When small buy walls come up to 800, then they will get eaten. Maybe there just was enough buys near 800 and it seemed profitable for one dump and then nudge the price back to 800, then wait and repeat the process. It currently seems that because of low volume, it's not very hard to keep the price where you want it.

Boy that was a slap in the face of an otherwise reasonably stable chart. Yeah that was a weird coincidence...but quick recovery. The price around $800 with + or - $5 has been super stable

2) The current stability is is an illusion created to keep the price high low so "the right people" can get their bitcoin with better prices. When small sell walls come down to 795, then they will get eaten. Maybe there just was enough sheep near 800 and it seemed profitable for one dump and then buy the bitcoin cheaper, then wait and repeat the process. It currently seems that because of low volume, it's not very hard to keep the price where you want it. FTFY bears...
