If Gox goes down to the actual price, the other exchanges will crash. why don't ppl ignore gox because people still buy and trade btc there, if bitstamp didn't care they wouldn't have tried to stay away by $100+ so even they themselves are actively distancing themselves and showing the care factor. imo this is pure FUD getting to those who expected a new years crash, if this was lined up with btc-e fud we'd be sub 700 already. Just bad manipulators out there these days. I can't say you'll be sorry if it recovers to 800-820 as Tera somewhat eluded to earlier. But good luck trading :d find the re entry point...generally I've been burned by not waiting the extra day for the secondary hit when the volume is high enough on the downtrends.

Right now we are battling between the dumpers and those who think that $850 is as low as gox goes - think they are getting cheap coins.

OMG, something is happening and I'm actually awake this time! I'm a HODLer because selling bitcoins makes me a nervous wreck (what if I miss the big upswing?). Going to put more fiat into bitcoin as soon as we hit a local minimum. Exciting times.

Gox is just correcting back in line with the other exchanges, since there's no reason to be a gap anymore with both fiat and btc withdrawals not working. Stamp/Huobi/BTC-e are getting scared down a little during this process, but after Gox falls back in line with the others they will all probably rebound back to 800+ together.

Could it be Gox fiat withdrawal is working? They did say a few weeks back they were working with a payment processing company.

All numbers were collected by hand from the site http://bitcoinwisdom.com. Beware of possible errors. For each exchange, the numbers include only the trade volume to/from the currencies listed in the rightmost column. Trade between BTC and other cryptocoins, such as LiteCoin, is NOT included. Coinbase is said to use Bitstamp for currency conversion. Dates on the header line are UTC. Specifically, "01/15" means "from 01/15 00:00:00 UTC to 01/15 23:59:59 UTC". (Beware that Bitcoinwisdom uses your local time, so the date may appear to be off by 1 day. For example, if you are 2 hours west of Greenwich, it may show "01/14 22:00" when the UTC time is "01/15 00:00".) (NOTE 1) On 2014-01-30, BTC-China had a burst of extremely fast, regular and atypical transactions, all with similar amounts (a few tens of BTC) and prices (~4836 CNY), adding up to about 41,050 BTC. The burst started suddenly around 17:00 UTC and and stopped suddenly around 19:30 UTC. Presumably those transactions were made by a faulty robot trading against itself or some other robot, and did not represent actual exchange of money and bitcoins between distinct individuals. Therefore those anomalous transactions were subtracted from the BTC-China volume for Jan/30.

Gox Bux are getting increasingly expensive, i never thought i'd see the day... we may actually see, gox hit 800 and then people just stop caring altogether about it. I am still so uncertain if this is lag from China right now.. but they should be waking up awful soon. 790usd on huobi seems like a pretty tough number to drop atm compared to the other exchanges. less coins to go up a lvl then down on Huobi Chinese bulls putting the team on their backs. We saw lag earlier today with stamp trying to follow gox in the sense of keeping the 115-130 gap range. We're only maintaining the $70 gap...i'd love for gox to be like withdrawals for all then a choo choo but thats the perma disney bull in me.

feb 5th 14:29 bitwisdom stamp price 900 coins sold.. think that was the start [of the crash].
Indeed that was a big drop. However the price recovered almost completely (only 4 dollars lower than before) and was stable for about 2 hours after that blip. It may have had a delayed effect, but it is hard to see how. There were small dips at about that time on other exchanges, but they recovered too.
