I never had problems getting fiat or BTC out of Gox. 5 days to transfer fiat into my account . 30 min to transfer BTC. I use EURO and JPY and live in Europe. Gox transfers from Poland. I guess it is only americans hating Gox? This fall to 830 seems good, since the less of a gap between excanges, the better.
I do however not use them anymore since I am holding and have my BTC in cold storage now..
So, why didn't you make a small fortune for yourself arbitraging Gox and the other exchanges the past few months? |

Someone is hacking Bitfinex!
With the sell price being $10,000 you can deposit 1 coin and your "balance" will show $10,000. Meaning you can now use $10,000 (1 bitcoin) as leverage and take a loan out for $25,000. Buy LTC on margin, and play the swings margin trading. Use the cash you just made trading to buy LTC and withdraw automatically to your wallet….. Do this with many coins and profit.
Have you not noticed the LTC volume? 135,000LTC just now.

Now I am holding. 5 -14 days is not the best for arbitraging, it would ofcourse be better with hours... I do trade activly in LTC and NMC now, and hold BTC. Never did any large or heavy trading on MtGox, so I could just be lucky. I know about friends in my country that have had problems with MtGox, so I am not denying problems, but i think its a bit over hyped. |

Well I might agree that it was over hyped if the exchange rates were closer. Well that answers for some of the drop. But would assume effect stamp more than gox. |

I read it, I just considered it expected behavior from Gox. It's certainly not fine, but Gox has been Goxxing for years now. Most of have been inoculated to their shenanigans. |

I read it, I just considered it expected behavior from Gox. It's certainly not fine, but Gox has been Goxxing for years now. Most of have been inoculated to their shenanigans. We've had our problems before with them but this...it allows the whole order book to be falsified and their attitude is "yeah, we'll fix it some time". And this is meant to be the super-duper, bells and cocks trading engine - it can't even provide users with an available balance. |

Gox was weird earlier, Bitfinex is buggy now. I'm surprised how stable the price on BitStamp has been through this. |

it didn't crash the price
next: hack of bitfinex, 2000 dump on stamp
someone desperatily wants the price to plummet down to slaughter sheeps in the resulting panic

the fact that the markets swallowed those dumps without a resultig crash (yet) is a very good sign to me. if this baby keeps flying at the current altitude, I would call that a very bullish statement
