Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Funny thing is the last time Bitfinex market sentiment was 2:1 Bearish to Bullish a panic buy occurred. This time around the sentiment is 2:1 Bullish to Bearish, I wonder what is going to happen this time around. Too many people are buying on margin, believing this is the best time to buy coins.

Read This!!!

It may answer a few questions, or stoke more speculation... either way, interesting

I like this one:

" Mark Karpeles himself came along carrying a large, and very fancy coffee in his hand that could have passed as a dessert."

Is this video anywhere to be found? Would be nice proof so this is not some random guy writing a nice post.

OP hasn't delivered yet but we will see.

There have been quite a bit of longs already cleared at bitfinex (check the outstanding debt - it was 20 millions and is 17 now) - that's why it was so much lower than btc-e. I think now bitfinex is ready for some more up movement (at least in the short term).

real question is are the exchanges going to be able to detach from gox.

how many bears have been shaken considering that we bounced of the low 600s, do we see 500s later today, or choo choo to 800 for another week?

Wow back @700... I would not wonder if we will be back at $800 tomorrow... If it is really so easy to manipulate the BTC price by whales, then BTC is not an alternative for FIAT.

If 'rather unsurprisingly wild price swings during an unprecedented, world wide, mostly unregulated capitalization event' automatically look to you like 'manipulation', I'd recommend leaving this market, or at least putting your coins into cold storage and not looking at the charts.

The coins I have, I HODL. It´s only that I want more coins and am not sure when to get in. Now we´re going up. But this can also be a trap.

The trading range with 800 was broken once the 1 week macd crossed down. It's over. We might peak out at 770 during a bounce at best. I don't even consider the play with the risk anymore. $600s was where the money was at.
