Would it be bullish if Gox announces next week that 40k+ BTC have been stolen?

The thing that bugs me the most is that I will probably lose about 25 bucks in this trollbox investment. That's like half a liter of quality vodka in Estonia.. and thats wasteful Sad
But still... trollbox is a nice place to be while drunk

Will take one large dump on Bitstamp to set the snowball rolling. Looking very fragile right now and Gox is of course dropping like a brick in sinking sand.

And after this sudden spike upwards, there will be another slow and boring downfall, with everyone who bought are holding, while hoping that the next wave will start another upwards trend...

...and then they won't even notice that while waiting, the price has dropped 200$ Smiley

I called it!

What I never understand is, somebody dumped 500 coins for 350 on gox and then somebody buys 0.01 coins for 370 and the price jumps up so fast to 370 on bitcoinwisdom. Why does it not go down that fast when somebody dumps 500 cheap coins?

That is the spread. In the situation you just described there are no ask orders from 350 up to 370 thus it is very easy to just buy 0.01 and make the price appear to be 370.

"Over time bitcoin changed and started implementing changes that would require people using previous versions of the software to upgrade. While we followed most of those updates we were more and more busy and couldn't keep up with all the changes,"
