Am I the only one who thinks that if Gox does come out alive and pay out, that this would be the best thing to happen for Bitcoin? The news would be unbelievably positive.

Don't ya think if they were able to do that, they would've already announced that with A LOT of fanfare? No, they kept stalling and stalling for months without giving a clear answer. They're insolvent, get over it. Only thing that matters now is to what degree they are insolvent and what % of customers funds they can refund.

I'm personally much more bullish if gox dies and stamp price continues to go up. It means the worst has happened yet stamp continues to be bullish despite that and it's able to support the price on it its own.  If I find that there is a rally due to something at gox then it is like a false rally and the neverending drama with gox continues.

Sure for those who have BTC in Gox and those who support BTC no matter the price. But for those who don't have a significant number of Gox coins, they'll have to make another decision whether the arbitrage will decrease the price or increase. I don't want to think about it. So I hedged my risk with Gox coins.

The world is better without gox, and the first legit US-regulated (trustworthy to retail investors) and publicly verifiable (blockchain proof of assets)  exchange is going to make a killing.

Would be interesting to see gox2 launching with new management and owned by those fleeced by gox1 in proportion to one's gox1 holdings.

Gox alive with Karpeles at the helm is not acceptable. That would be a boat anchor dragging down Bitcoin for as long as the situation continues.
