Citybank said a $300k coin next year. Jokers... Citigroup has 204,000 employees. Not really surprising that different parts of the business have differing views on related topics - the $300k bitcoin proposition came from their FX business (so looking at it from a currency perspective and was almost certainly being deliberately provocative); the assessment of Micro Strategy is from Equity research (looking at the future for the Micro Strategy business). Expecting everyone at Citi to have exactly the same perspective is like expecting bitcointalk to only have one view on bitcoin ... Even setting aside the size of the organisation and the different business views, one can be both positive about an asset AND believe someone is over-exposed to that asset at the same time. Then where's the value in their views? Selective memory for a fortune teller? As long as you have 2 divisions they can always issue opposing "views" and you only "remember"/talk about the correct one win/win situation The two views are about totally different things: the first is about the potential of Bitcoin as a currency; the second about their view of Microstrategy and their business. Even if they believe consistently that Bitcoin will increase in value in the medium term (12 months say) they may also believe that Microstrategy are diverting funds in the short term (ie now) at the cost of investing elsewhere and that may have an adversely impact on their business. I should say I don’t know specifically what the rationale underpinning their views actually is I am simply showing how I think it possible for an organisation to hold both views and still be consistent. I’d also say that in any case I think your expectation of absolute consistency across such an organisation is probably unrealistic, but not because of any carefully thought through malice and simply because they are so large with such differing business drivers across different divisions that they have naturally different views. Isn't that the whole point of the CEO, to consolidate and provide consistent message across different possibly competing divisions? But why do it when you can use it to your advantage Bitcoin moons - remind people how our division predicted $300k/ BTCBitcoin tanks - remind people how we correctly downgraded Micro Strategy because of their exposure to BTCwhy take a single corporate stand when you can cover both cases at once Not really - the job of the CEO is to maximise return for shareholders, I would be frankly astonished if he took any direct interest in the downgrading of one relatively small stock. Moreover as I tried to explain I don’t think the views are actually necessarily in conflict. Also having done a small bit of googleing it seems that Microstrategy are issuing debt in order to buy Bitcoin, it doesn’t seem much of a stretch to understand how that might affect their view on whether to invest in the company.

It would seem that buying MTSR (Microstrategy) shares are a defacto way of getting some indirect bitcoin exposure in your portfolio, as there are still issues trying to get a bitcoin ETF. Then again, one can also buy some Grayscale shares. In certain types of accounts they can be tax sheltered.

Jesus Christ I'm going full degenerate. Just decided to purchase another $100 worth of dip on Paypal with some of the cash balance I've accrued.
I hate myself.
Bob, forget about bitcoin price. It's a waste of time. You have enough to be free. Now follow your dreams, full time.

Dude. Love yourself. (*nomasto) What you sold for $16.2k was for a good reason. Continuing to accumulate is a good thing. Take advantage of these bargain basement prices. Don't feel bad. ^^^ Medicine. Wisdom.

I agree firmly with this nuanced view. MSTR has basically put it's entire balance sheet on one asset. If they had done it with GOLD I believe CITI would do the same thing. If they bought only shares of CITI... same thing. In today's climate the one ridiculous move they could have made was use all the money to buy up MSTR shares. That, in today's wackadoodle world, would be OK. Lol.

I see over a quarter million before the big correction. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Though I think it's likely we will have the biggest correction ever as measured in USD, I think it is also likely we will have the smallest correction as measure in %. If we do get to your 250k, I would imagine in the WORST case scenario we would drop again to 80k. But I would bet on even less of a drop... 150 maybe. On the other hand I 3D printed my crystal ball out of glow in the dark filament. I have no idea how accurate it really is.

Bob, forget about bitcoin price. It's a waste of time. You have enough to be free. Now follow your dreams, full time. Don't you get it? Right now his dreams are to buy pocket money amount (in Bawb terms) of BTC on Paypal and obsessing on price. He's the fucking buddha of following his dreams!

The Rekt Story ... SELL. Get buy gold. Sell bitcoins. Thank me. https://ninjastic.space/post/55781873Buy Gold and Dollar.
Sell Bitcoin. https://ninjastic.space/post/55781555Bu para birimin öne sürdüğü tüm savlar bugün kendisiyle beraber tarih olmuştur benim gözümde. Bitcoin bugün kendi hikayesini bitirdi bence.
Summary: Bitcoin is dead.
Summary: This is not the dip.Bitcoin alım seviyesi bence; 3700 dolardı alan aldı x2 x3 yaptılar herkesin kendi tercihi buradan 20.000 dolara bile yürüse tat vermez bana, maliyetler çok yüksek 4000 dolarlara düşerse belki almayı planlarım. şimdilik altcoinlerdeyim ytd
Summary: Bitcoin is too expensiveBen Altın ve Gümüş gibi metaller hariç artık hiç bir malı hisseyi sahiplenmiyorum. Yok şirket buyuyecekmis büyüsün banane yok bitcoin madencilik yarilancakmis yarinlansin banane. Yok o sektörde büyük fırsat varmış olsun banane.
Summary: I dont care halving, it is not important.Biraz avcı olmak lazım mesela 2020 Ocak ayında Gümüş 17.5 dolarlardayken şuan 27 dolarda getirisi %50 Bitcoin 9000 dolarlardayken şuan 10 bin dolarda getirisi %10 %20
Summary: Bitcoin is 9000$, i prefer gold and silver. YTD.
Summary: I'm not buying bitcoin, there is a gap around 9700$.Bitcoine gelince yükseliş beklemiyorum artık tepe 16 bin dolarlarda görünüyor, altcoinlerde baya çöktü zaten tarihi diplerde çoğu. Dominasyonu 70-80 lere vurduracaklarsa bilemem tabi. Ytd.
Summary: Bitcoin can't go up anymore, the peak point is 16.000$
