Observing $23,928 & not remotely interested in selling anything for a good while yet. This bull run has only just started really, we have soooooo much scope for upwards price discovery. You should always do what suits you but I don’t think it’s advisable to sell anything yet. Maybe at double this price I’ll start selling but we will see $100,000 per coin within 12 months & I’m starting to think maybe much higher.
Either way, it’s a great time for us, we are all so fortunate to have got into bitcoin so early. I dunno about anybody else but the next 12 months is going to be life changing.
Goodnight fellow bulls!

get a salt (or equivalent) loan using your BTC as collateral. this keeps the tax bill to near zero. you are not cashing the coin, just getting a loan.
Hm. Are there banks that do this? Could be a good way to tap the bitcoin equity a bit without selling the corn.

I don’t have a lot of coins so I really need $100k+ for it to matter in a life changing way..
I’m pretty comfy being poor though.. Have been poor all my life.. I am very self sufficient so I can do, enjoy, and have a lot while spending very little.. I don’t need as much $$ because I don’t need to hire everyone else to do things for me.. I can do most everything on my own..
My dream is to have a long vacation in a sailboat around the world.. I don’t need a massive expensive boat and can do all the maintenance work myself.. So like $50k for a boat buy/maintenance budget and basically money for food/expenses to last atleast a few years.. If god is kind he will smite me down in a hurricane before I run out of food money so I never have to go back to the rat race..

A lovely good morning Bitcoinland. Another day another ATH... currently $24080USD/$30795CAD (Bitcoinaverage). Go Bitcoin go. ___ Getting close to thinking of taking a little profit in the form of 100 acres of prime forested property with 1500 feet of lake frontage, ten minutes from a major hospital and about an hour and a half from downtown Toronto. Under 23 bitcoins at current prices. Thank you Bitcoin. Hey JimboToronto, I spent a lot of time up there, years back. Family friends had property on that very lake. It's a great lake, close to a great little city with everything you might need but I would be very careful with that particular piece of property. I remember years ago a man tried to build a cottage in a very similar location on that same lake but was stopped and forced to remove what he had constructed and return the area to its previous state. It was the talk of the lake that someone would have the audacity to do such a thing in violation of the law. I can't say I'm 100% certain it was that exact property but almost the entire west side of that lake is in an Environmental Protection One zone. There's virtually no way you're going to be allowed to build on it. Wow. Thanks for the heads up Homer. I was a little hesitant to post that picture but I'm glad I did. I was wondering why it was so cheap considering its hard to get a house in Toronto for less than a million or a decent cottage that close to the city for less than a couple million. It might not necessarily be a problem. I spent 25 years using a trailer on 50 acres of rented maple sugar bush in Oro as my country getaway. I eventually had 3 trailers and a wolmanized, galvanized outhouse/generator shed with the complete blessings of the municipality. All the trailers were on a high bank overlooking a fairly substantial creek with waterfall. All they cared about was that everything was "portable" with no foundations and that no one was living there full time. When the land owner gave them my address in the city, that was that. My only real problem was security. I considered converting an intermodal shipping container into a "mobile" home by torching in Lexan MR-10 windows and setting it on railway ties. Unfortunately the owner died and the estate sold the property. As you can see by this picture, the present owner of this lakefront spread seems to have a trailer there already: Being in an Environmental Protection One zone would actually be good for me as I prefer a natural undisturbed environment. I'd like to be able to bring in hydro though. Maybe they'd let me use a trencher to bury a cable. Maintaining and fueling a generator is a hassle. I'd love to relegate my Honda to backup duty. I obviously have lots of research to do. Thanks again.

There was a nuclear war. She is using a Geiger counter to work out if the milk used for the ice cream was contaminated by fallout. That almost sounds like just some equal parallel to today. 6 one... half dozen...

Cool. Years ago for security reasons I considered making a quadrangle out of one 32' and three 40' containers with an 8' wide door to the courtyard in the middle for the safe storage of snowmobiles, etc. The door would be a roll-down steel security door like what they use for jewelry or electronics stores in bad neighborhoods. The containers themselves are fairly secure. They're frequently left unattended on waterfronts with millions of dollars in merchandise in them. I considered second and even third stories but that would entail some kind foundation. Now that we have winter homes in Mexico, all we really need is a secure 40' steel pied-a-terre cabin in the forest by the lake as a summer getaway. Thanks for the link. It took me back to those days when I was checking out various designs. At the time I could get 40' containers delivered for $2800CAD.

Lulz. Followed. This thread has been pretty fun to follow lately. https://twitter.com/ZeitgeistFilm/status/1339826312588918784 Dude is getting dunked on pretty hard for just not getting Bitcoin. I think the "Have fun staying poor" meme really got under his skin badly. I thought Bob rotated the Bitcoin symbol artfully enough. Heh.

My cat is not gay, he has a beautiful partner and 5 children. #nohomo Every time I enter the thread, Bitcoin is 2,000 dollars higher, at this rate I will have to sell the cat to buy Bitcoin. Surely, your situation does not seem enviable, VB. These kinds of BTC price runs are when peeps need to be in.. and largely we have hardly had any meaningful or material price corrections from early September starting at about $10k... .. but of course, many of us who had been in BTC since the downturn in 2018 had a lot of opportunities to stack up on corn well into the sub $10k arena for quite a long time.. and there were even quite a few bearish members who were suggesting that $10k was quite a ways into the future (which really does not seem so far in the future when we look back at our various BTC buying opportunities over the past 3 years).

Its not that easy, he would have to request compensation equivalent to the price of bitcoin on January 1 2021 for the fiat loaned, but that is impossible..., at the moment I only have the agreement for the money to be returned at the end of this month, we are on the dec-20 and the bag is empty. (I will have to start with a less aggressive but constant strategy, in case I can take advantage of some lower prices.) Thx for reminding me how dumb I am.
