Not sure what's going to happen with Chartbuddy but the account is currently locked due to being hacked and I have to do a bit of a dance with the admins to unlock it which has a couple of wrinkles I need to iron out.

Of course DCA works..

it is a solid technique.. and maybe it is not looking like it works for fucktwats who waited until the past few months to get in, but if you had DCA'ed in to bitcoin over the past 2-3 or more years, you would be sitting pretty god-damned pretty at this point.

Bitcoin is not going to reward peeps who are short-sighted and gambling as well as the DCA'ers and the HODLers.. (which includes stat stackers).

Oh.. yeah and for sure, none of us have been suggesting any one sized fits all strategy because DCA surely works, but it also supplements both front-loading and over-investing... which are both great strategies as well, in moderation of course.

Good morning everyone! What a beautiful sunny morning and this price - 48K! It really exceeds all my expectations for this time of the year, when the market is usually dormant! With all the good news about Paypal, Grayscale, Microshares, Tesla, etc., no wonder we are here, despite what happened in March last year (poor mindrust). As Michael Saylor noted in this interview: Tesla $TSLA has de-risked the acquisition of #bitcoin by public companies and accelerated the digital transformation of corporate balance sheets.  Treasurers are now thinking about how to convert a non-performing asset into the best performing asset.": https://twitter.com/michael_saylor/status/1358867027289649152

He was the first institutional preacher, who realized that despite the occasional 50-80%-ish drops in the price, Bitcoin still appreciates at least 2x per year. Now that more companies are joining with 10% of their free cash, we can expect that any price under 100K is too low. I used to think that under normal retail mass adoption, there is a point in selling something in that range. Now I believe that 50K-120K is a dead zone, no point in selling there. And by selling I mean buying a real estate which will not depreciate. Anyway, with the support of institutions which are investing at least 10% of their capital, the chances that we reach prices above 200K untill the end of the year are pretty high. And the odds of getting another 80%-ish drop after that are much slimmer than before. The institutions know how to defend their investments, and they would invest even more instead of selling, in case the price temporarily drops below their investment point.

it accelerates like a beast in less than 3 sec to 100km/h.  if i push ludicrous mode it pulls so hard that my glasses are pushed over my head. no joke. i showed some friends, after two rounds we had to stop, sweating soaking wet. the acceleration is ... hard to describe. my 911 feels like a snail compared to it.

Which model/year 911, out of curiosity. I understand Teslas are good off the line vs most sports cars, but fail in the 1/4 mile. I can't imagine a Tesla is going to shock me more than Rick's modded 911 Turbo S AWD.

unmodded model x is under 11sec. how is rick's 911 doing?  model x is a family van...

39,901.1 € on Kraken.

40k € will probably be broken today.

About Chinese New Year, I haven't got a clue as to what the effect to the market is going to be. I have a lot of Chinese friends, but only one of them is a coiner, and a hardcore HoDLer, so he doesn't follow market trends, etc. (he's very happy though—he listened to me in 2016, and bought 2.7 BTC for a total of $1100!)

Can we agree instead of mentioning shitcoin speculating/mining in WO to accumulate more BTC to just say

"bought BTC"

to replace

"converted shitcoin X to BTC"

and the likes?

Because $ and € (and co.) are shitcoins as well, right?
And it's called "buying BTC" then, right?

For me, if i ever hold some shitcoin and convert it to Bitcoin, i will only write "bought more BTC", "bought this dip" or whatever in here.
It's basically the same as converting fiat to BTC, isn't it?
Would just tidy up this thread a bit more while shillers are kindly asked to GTFO, as usual.

Of course this thread initiated in regards to watching dollar btc walls.. but sure, there has been some evolutions over the years including greater appreciation that the dollar is a shitcoin.. but it is still a standard upon which we measure BTC value.. even though there have been other means of measuring BTC's value proposed through the years.

I surely do not believe in the bullshit assertions that all value needs to be held in bitcoin, even though such practices might work for some people.. most people need some kind of balance of value to be maintained in one kind of fiat or another, just to accommodate the ongoing living (and even luxury) expenses that they are paying in such fiat.. whether daily, weekly, monthly or some other period in which some of their various living expenses arise.

Or maybe, your opinion above is an erroneous assertion.
In a hypothetical scenario of a large purchase vs annoying DCAing I know which one comes ahead. Fact.
Borrow against and you don't have to sell. You don't have to sell the best asset for the worse, unless you can think of a better investment.

Yes... find what is comfortable for you, and you do that by understanding various tradeoffs, but more so by attempting to understand ur lil selfie... which includes a lot of important factors that are not even easy to understand for their mere words which are cash flow, other investments, view of bitcoin versus views of other investments, timeline, risk tolerance and time, skills and abilities to study, plan, strategize and tweak - which might also include reallocating and trading.

Takes a long fucking time to understand each of these concepts, especially in terms of your own situation and likely that most guys (and gal) are not going to come to the same conclusions if they truly analyze these ideas in terms of themselves rather than attempting to find some objective formula which would likely be parroting someone else rather than really attempting to understand their own tolerances and changing senses.. and the more that a person is able to understand him(her)self, the less likely he will get too emotional (even when tweaking or changing his/her particulars).. even though some emotion is likely inevitable for any human.

Yeah have fun to try and hold more than 200 km/h (which is here sometime possible on the highways in germany) Wink ... Btw. the acceleration promise of the new tesla are a joke, because in the USA it's a roling start. Here in germany we messure from real 0. Than you need special tires to even get the acceleration... the 2.3 - 2.8 sec is propably the best you get with normal tires on a normal street. Let see if Tesla gets the quality issue handled. Maybe the new Audi eTron GT is good. I need a new car in 2 1/2 years ...

We will see, if it's a Lamboghini Urus / Audi or a Tesla Wink (I prefere the first one, but it's the one who costs the most of them)

See? I knew Elon would deliver.

Once more, the patient are rewarded.

Where TF is mindrust?

Dropping his voodoo on Monero. Lol

We need the latest data on the mindrust indicator... LFC_Bitcoin?  Cool

P.S. But I reckon the value of his liquidated stash is approaching half a million?  Grin

He did  sell  10 BTC around $4,500 and he bought back one BTC around $6k (perhaps a bit higher), and then he invested in various shitcoins with the other 9 BTC.. He was a bit coy about what he was doing, exactly and suggesting that he had some great plan that played upon some of bitcoin's deficiencies, which would cause any of us to conclude that those investments of the 9 BTC value did not do as well as they would have done if they had just been left in BTC or even made a more modest investment in BTC, such as maybe buying back 5-7 BTC rather than buying back the whole 10BTC... but by the time he would have worked out such a plan, he probably could NOT have even bought back much more than that and still had some cash available (which seemed to have been part of his desires ... I guess buying into the idea that it was good to be in dollars at that particular time, perhaps?).

It would probably be better to get some kind of report directly from Mindrust, but I think that he is NOT coming to this thread anymore because he is quite nervous (or too attached rightly so) to trying to stand up for how he had made his various March 2020 decisions in regards to his 10 acquired BTC and the value from such sales/reinvestment of those).

I also have too much time on my hand so I looked into the Levan Polkka.
It's a Finnish polka about a girl who goes out partying against her parent's will.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yh9i0PAjck

It then apparently somehow made it to Japan

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TU4wnVrZXo4

And was then picked up by a Turkish blind drummer sitting on a bench drumming, and that then got a life of it's own, resulting in the video we all love.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAyWN9ba9J8

there is also tropical/eastern european techo-Levan Polkka:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Utud81Xc-fA

and a farmer version (old):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8fW2n_ma9Y

some WO's are trying to counterfeit it.  Grin

https://youtu.be/0eVauFwBS4g

More polkka:

Hutsune Miku (anime)-previous japanese version was human singers pretending to be Hatsune Miku:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjDZrReZ4EI

Same in hardstyle remix
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f23SOgDxx6o

makes me wish i can go out and freaking do something, including dancing, lol.
someone needs to drop Elon into Bilal's polkka session.

BTW, when 44?
EDIT: now
EDIT2: man, Elon is there already:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4zNI3eSI-I

And it seems like the vegetable that she waves at 0:52 is a homage to this version with lyrics https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cz-1cBfOCc4

anyone else have the problem of too many automatic sells popping off at the echanges you use? now i have to get rid of a bunch of fiat. oh man.. wadda drag.

guess i need to rethink my strategy as far as laddering sells. i had too many too close together.

work work work.. *sigh*

In this cycle, I had been in the practice of spreading out my BTC sell orders and making them smaller.. which has caused me less anxiousness.

Currently, I have something like $2,500 increments between sales, so they do not really trigger very often, and they’ll  are really small portions of my total holdings (even though the fiat is stacking up quite considerably, like you say, but I still have quite a bit less fiat stacking than I had when we reached $20k in late 2017, so I am feeling pretty damned good about that).... I also have my buy orders in about $1,000 increments all the way down to $9k-ish... and my spread is a few thousand, so the next sell order is close to $50k, and the next buy order is $44k-ish.. and the last sell order had executed around $47k-ish...

I thin that the system is totally sustainable so long as there is a kind of conceptually built in anticipation of BIG ASS runs like this, even though they seem to be long shots in some sense, my sell orders were already structured to anticipate them (not perfectly, but in a way that is comfortable for the only one that counts mmmmmeeeeee  meeeee...

In my thinking and that piling up fiat may well come in handy after we go to $250k.. hahahahhahahahaha... whatever.. let it pile up.. what the fuck do I care... I am not going to live forever anywhooo......

And a super nice pump while I was sleeping, najs!!!

Just a thought in the morning.
The nice thing with having money is not to have to worry.
It's not being able to buy nice things and stuff, although that is nice too, but it is knowing that you don't have to worry if your car breaks down, or your pet gets sick, and knowing that you can buy that new wallet when you see it, instead of having to wait for the next paycheck, and not having to buy the cheapest generic food items because you are out of money for the month.

Damn I worry all the time mate Grin what if I get sick (or wife/family), what if I go bankrupt, lose my job etc. I'm always prepared for the worst case scenario. The more you've got, the more you've got to lose! Grin
