Just out of interest WHEN do you guys think we will breach $100,000? I’m pretty certain it’ll be this year but just interested to see when you guys think it’ll happen?
April, May, June?
Later in the year?
Thanks.

Something's up with that address... I tried to send 100 BTC there several times, but it just doesn't get through. Blacklisted.

Good morning Bitcoinland. Here we go again... another ATH ($57554 Stamp), another $1.4k mini-correction and another bounce halfway back up... currently $56751USD/$71570CAD (Bitcoinaverage). This is a routine I can learn to love. In the time it took to get the vendor's signature on the purchase-sale contract, my Bitcoins had risen in value more than the cost of our piece of paradise. Made it official yesterday. Go Bitcoin go. The number of WOs selling is too damn high.
Cause land, cause gift and like going to banks, cause its just a tiny fraction...
Pffff... I'm considering (-a car-). And that would be my tiny fraction.
You can't drive around in money (including Bitcoin), nor can you stock it with fish and hang a hammock beside it, nor build a track and keep cattle on it. Spending tiny fractions rocks.

If, and that is a big if, it keeps on like this it should hit 100k by May. 100k was my first big sell target, but with the current momentum I'm not so sure anymore, I might up it to 150 or even 200k. I'll have to see how fast this thing is going.

Some key dates this year... July 25: COVID Eviction relief ends. If not extended, a lot of people will be given 30 day notices on that date and will be searching for a place to live by August 25 July 31: Unemployment subsidy checks end. People who were getting an extra $600 or so per week will no longer receive it. August 8: Money given to small businesses to help with payroll stops August 31: Mortgages that have been put off for the past year are now due either in a lump sum or higher monthly payments to pay what you owe. Moratorium on foreclosures ends. September 30: Student loan payment suspension ends December 31: You can no longer take penalty free withdrawals from your 401k. So September seems like it may be a big time for the US economy. I have heard bits and pieces about September being the start of a Jubilee (loan forgiveness, the Great Reset, etc.). One other key date coming up on Monday is the Federal Reserve meeting to discuss interest rates. If they go more hardcore that may drive bitcoin over $100k within days. If they start talking about the economy doing better then that could be the trigger for a big crash as people anticipate rates being raised and the money train coming to an end.

(Answer: It's money, I earned it, here is your share as is fair enforced through threat of violence)
ftfy. *sigh* Laws on murder and rape are also enforced through threats of violence so this argument breaks down pretty quickly. There are some people in society that simply don't understand other options, that is life. From my point of view, I view basic taxes to be the price for living in a civilized society, and not paying my share would result in my being a grubby freeloader. Since I do not value being a freeloader or parasite I don't consider them to be a bad thing.

some guy on a podcast i listened today said that tptb made us believe the last 200 years that is possible to store all the value created by all the work of all the people in DEAD TREES. but trees grow everywhere. people are just finding out that it is better to store value in math by means of real digital scarcity.

Just checked my cold storage and noticed that I've recently received two very tiny amounts on one of my addresses (same address for both). The last transaction to my wallet, apart from these two, happened more than one year ago...
What is this? Anyone noticed it too? Should I be worried?
Thanks.

My mother in law. Nevertheless, I'd rather you didn't use "what" but "who" when you're talking about her.

As to above 'pundits' are out in force saying that BTC is going to crash and can't compete with the coming of national digital currencies. The talk today and probably will continue by the 'talking heads' on T.V. is that Bitcoin will be 'replaced' by a central bank(s) digital currency....I've seen this often quoted. I have 'never' once however seen it brought up in pro or con that BTC is 'decentralized' with a 'fixed' amount of coins vs a national digital currency which is 'centralized' and allowed to 'print' coins like they print money, even if it is a 1 to 1 ratio with their fiat. Gasp! I'm beginning to suspect they are leaving this out of BOTH sides of the argument on Bloomberg and other T.V. Pundits on other channels. Ya think? Brad

Brad I don't even understand what is new about "national digital currencies". Since banks have computers, so something like 60 years ago, isn't all money mostly digital ? I know my fiat is just 0s and 1s in several banks' IT systems. There is talk of adding some blockchain/crypto features to these, and that might be a good thing, for example you could prove your holdings and the bank couldn't screw with that, but the main thing with crypto is being one's own bank, so centralized currencies are no competitors to that. And the main thing with BTC is scarcity, so fiat currencies printed willy nilly, digital or otherwise, can't compete with that either.
