You can say all you want about alts, but the thing is, they are worth billions now.

The exact same thing can be said about the penny stock market, worth billions. And many of them can rally 100x or 1000x in the blink of an eye. And many of them routinely do, it's just that the public doesn't see the pump and dumps because the pink sheets are nicely tucked away in the garbage corner of the internet. Out of sight, out of mind.

So "being worth billions" can still mean nothing in the grand scheme of things...it doesn't legitimize anything.

LOL, I didn't say anything about them being "legit", just that someone out there will pay for them collectively in billions. DOGE is still a meme/joke, just happens to be an expensive meme right now.. Much wow. Amaze. Pamp eet.

At least penny stocks are somewhat regulated (they have to be on a legit exchange right? or you can buy them from Robinhood or something.)

There are dead alts still pumping on yobit.

The new comers in crypto space are being trapped on Yobit. They think these shit coins can make them Millionaire.

Coruptsy...1st exchange I ever used. ah yes, memories... Cheesy

(I got out before the sh!t hit the fan, thankfully)
Fun fact... when bitcoin withdrawals stopped working there and everyone
started to smell a rat, word on the street was convert it to Dogecoin
then withdraw it. Exactly what I did and it worked.
Too bad I didn’t hodl the doge. Much bummer! Lol

Man that's funny because I just reviewed some old spreadsheets because I knew I bought some Doge a long time ago, and indeed it was.

Bought .2 BTC worth in 2014 which was only $157 worth, but got 118,000 Doge out of it.  On Cryptsy.  Have no idea if I sold it or just lost it in the fiasco.  I did document the DOGE address it was on and it shows 0 Doge $0 Dollars lol.  Crazy

It's interesting the BTC price can't quite beat the 58K mark at the moment.

I guess there are a hell of a lot of institutions sort of holding back, playing a wait and see game even though many are now certainly considering holding.

They will probably regret it and fomo in when the price shoots up.

Point is, once the 60-70K wall is broken and we head to 100K and beyond things could move quickly.

no rush... bitcoin is just doing it's thing... we still have time to next ATH. Why?

Here's my prediction (of course math & science involved) for Bitcoin time-to-next ATH:

So since 2021, breaking the previous ATH we have done it 5 times to be exact.

1st  on   Jan 10, 2021     ATH $41,294
2nd on   Feb 09, 2021     ATH $46,159     after 30 Days
3rd  on   Feb 22, 2021     ATH $56,803     after 13 Days
4th  on   Mar 14, 2021     ATH $60,871     after 20 Days
5th  on   Apr 16, 2021     ATH $63,345     after 33 Days

So based on above theory next ATH should be after avg. 24 days (± 5 days)

Earliest:
Next ATH will be after 24 days
May 10, 2021     ATH $64k+    after 24 days

Latest:
Next ATH will be after 30 days
May 16, 2021     ATH $64k+    after 30 days

Note: My prediction is for the time only.. not price, so it could be $64k or may be $100k who knows? only math & science can tell.

It appears that BTC won't breakout past $60k anytime soon. Not for a while, a couple of weeks maybe.
It's just a matter of time but until then let's enjoy how panic seller act...

Last bear market the price tanked from $20k down to $3k, that was brutal.

That $17k drop will drawf what we will see next bear market.

Prepair yourself mentally for a $100k-$200k bleed.

I don't day trade but going to trade this one and it will be glorious.

This is going to be fun, trying to sell high as possible which is only a ''luxury problem''.

hope so, hoping to see 70k within two weeks.

70k by May 1 has passed us by.

I am hoping for 70k by May the 4th be with you.

Keep hoping.

Pretty soon you are going to be correct, and you can tell the rest of us to fuck off because you are an actual sorcerer rather than being a "wannabe sorcerer."

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I'd hate having to keep selling. I'll hodl for now.

Whenever i sold, i did regret it later.
Even when i sold "at a profit".

Well, some of us have also come to realize that some "professional" financial advisors are handicapt by some of their own allocation and reallocation philosophies.

So, even though I surely do not claim to have any financial advisor professionalistic skills because I do not know a large variety of the products that might be available to a financial advisor, but they are some times even mandated to reallocate on a regular basis that could cause them to miss the hell out of really profiting from something like bitcoin in the event that it were to run.

So even though I personally advise (if you can call it that.. maybe better to call it suggest) that newbies consider 1% to 10% as their starting investment range in bitcoin, that is merely a "starting" recommendation and not a limit nor something that you necessarily would need to reallocate back to such an allocation in the event that bitcoin were to go on a 10x to 80x run after you had already made your allocation decision... so surely decisions about staring allocation, decisions about allocation after a pumpening and/or decisions about whether or how to reallocate can cause a variety of outcomes that the supposed professional financial advisors would not recommend or even understand even while they are holding themselves out as purported experts.

Maybe time to relax a bit:

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-04-30/more-americans-are-considering-retirement-because-of-covid

The fear of the upcoming (even in 6-12 mo) btc bear is holding me back, otherwise, why not?

In other words, you are not ready for retirement.

It's not my fault the 5% I put in, is now worth 99%

Exactly.

That's what I am saying, and that kind of matter needs to be considered - including that individuals have discretion in terms of whether it is wise to reallocate or not, or to consider some other way of lessening their risk  or if they do decide to reallocate, then how much?

Bitcoin is a stable coin now oscillating between $55k and $58k for last three weeks.

Stable, yeah right... until it is not.

What a shitty time to sell.
Cobra on Proudhon's track, New-gen twitter altcoiners build houses of cards, even whole blocks of houses of cards with their money.
Outcome unknown. I should have sold in the last hour over $58k, forgot to set sell order(s)  Roll Eyes
The "damage" is small, though.
It's raining outside, too.

Unconfirmed transactions under 20k just now. A fair decrease compared to 1-2 weeks back.

https://mempool.space/

0.31c to get in next block

Edit: blink and you missed it though.

Actually, unconfirmed transactions are at their lowest since 8th January. Don't know if this is good or bad.

Same here, a couple 100's km closer to the equator, rain in the valleys, snow on the mountains (above 1200m), followed by 25° on Sunday.
I'm used to this in April, but May?  Huh
