I kind of miss Roach, he would at least stir things a bit every now and then.
Wonder what side he would have taken, he hated both jews, arabs and muslims, (and most women).

People should stop believing in sky daddies altogether. Certainly not be indoctrinating children into these ancient cults.

The only religion we should be allowed to follow is Bitcoin.

As for women; they are good for a few things I've found. But the list seems to be getting shorter to me.
For example I've seen some women talk about Bitcoin online but never met one who does that in person, so I am yet to be impressed to be honest.

hahahaha

Difficult to find anyone in real life to talk about bitcoin, women or otherwise, and sure if you spend the whole time looking down their shirts then they might just rather get down to business with the bunny rather than talk.    Tongue Tongue Tongue

By the way, I have found some folks who want to talk about bitcoin and sure mostly guys, and it seems that guys are more likely to deviate into shitcoins rather than women, so in that sense I have found women in real life to be more focused on bitcoin than guys, but sure, they might tell me that they are going to do one thing, and then later I find out that they did the exact opposite of what I suggested to do because whether guy or gal, seems that everyone wants to exercise their own agency which surely tends to lead to errors, especially moreso when they have less experiences.

So gosh personalities of men and women do tend to be different, but it still seems that many folks are vulnerable to the same kind of hesitancies, believing bad information, inabilities to create and stick to a strategies, tendencies towards gambling and other emotional and even knowing better kinds of flaws.. hard to really blame folks in real life for those personality traits, even though sometimes it can be a bit frustrating, but I may well have a few frustrating personality traits too.. anything is possible..at least almost anything.   Wink

The Dude, doing what he does best!

Bringing joy to those around him in a time of tribulation!

You know.. In this journey we have all met so many different folks.  Those here on this forum, like old friends, some strange class of unlikely comrades.

Sometimes it boggles my mind that we are so lucky to be here.  Not just because of the obvious reason... but this really is a strange and motley pile of folks.  We are lucky to know each other, even virtually.

I cannot help but think from time to time, if bitcoin is not destroyed by Elon, how this forum (or an archive of it) will be scoured over by our curious descendants as they wonder what it felt like to be in our shoes.  As some judge us for not seeing what seems obvious to them, or in fact how we were able to.  Perhaps it is arrogance in the extreme, to think we matter.  But I do.  I have said it before... I think one day folks will be reading these threads to relive what we lived through.  To see what it was like to live through this.

I doubt they will be able to get it 100%.  They will think it should have been easy to hold through all the waves.  But of course they will be very wrong.  Though it has been for some of us, and those of us here for longer have sustained mind boggling gains and losses.

My "real life" friends and acquaintances have no idea at all.  Part of the reason they do not know is I will not tell them because I learned early on (2012-2015ish?) that part of the reason they would not be here is they could NOT handle what we handle.  The vast majority of folks wash out.  I am not trying to sound arrogant.  Maybe something is WRONG with us that we can stand it, lol.  But they even project their ideals.  There is this one guy I think of in particular.  Love the fellow.  But he called me a fool so many times as I help through peaks and valleys.  Smart guy.  IT professional.  Made sure to let me know over and over that I should listen to him, and not lose it all.  That I had been stupidly lucky, but I would evidently hold it all until it was worthless and miss a chance to benefit because I was too stupid to see the obvious writing on the wall.

We do not talk about Bitcoin any more when we see each other now. Ha.  Partly because he is tired of trying to "fix" me, and I imagine partly because he is mad that, at least at this point, it has turned out I was right. I told him he should buy some bitcoin when it was ~$20.

I have quit telling people that.

Even today while all my friends are now making sure I admit publicly I missed the boat on Doge, and am not as smart after all am I?  (Although I did do a rare purchase of it yesterday because I happened to see the Coinbase news right when it happened... I actually locked in a quick 25%.  Such Rare!)

And I am steeling myself for the coming onslaught of "When are you going to get rid off a'l that evil bitcoin that is boiling the oceans" questions.

You guys are the only ones that get it.

I know we disagree on various things... but we are family now.  We have lived through glorious fortune and mind boggling losses together.  Some of us have been destroyed by it all, and some have flourished, and we have helped each other along the way...

And then there is The Dude.  Posting his pump truck meme and running contests.

Future people?  If you actually read this JJG length post?  He is (was?) an important one of us.  He is a pure representation of the hope and goodness that we have all striven to have.  He represents what is best about us.  Joy, generosity, and a resolute bullishness that even the least of us has experienced on this journey...  He was (is!) well worth knowing.  There is a reason he got all the "merits".

Hahaha, yeah y'all wish you were here.  How much is that 0.077BTC contest he is currently running worth now?  I have a feeling it will buy a modest house someday.

THX for the very nice and kind post with a wink to me ...

I only disagree on a small part, or I have seen something different... Since I'm in BTC it all came from the knowledge of one single person, he never talked about it with friends same as you, but he had to tell me cause of poker stuff etc ...

Now I was a different kind of person as you and my friend...

I did the strategy of screaming it from the rooftops.... not about my holdings or what I have, but about the thing (currency, asset, ...) that they should investigate and get into and the result is my 3 true best friends got in little pre previous bull market and hodled true, they all lost a lot cause of Alts and knowing better though they matured and learned and all increased there holdings and are all good knowing bitcoiners imo, I love it we can live it together as best friends and brothers, same for my RL brother... only my parents didn't follow as they should but ... yeah you know they are just not this generation but still they are happy for me and the rest of us now, which is beautiful as well... The true nice thing is those I wanted to bitcoin the most ... they are bitcoinng and those who give me the "meh" feeling... they yeah you know, don't coin... So my general feeling over people seems to be OK  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Btw very kind post and I will merit it later cheers

Everyone says that CMC dominance is irrelevant since it also includes stablecoins.
Yet, whatever params you use, there has been a sharp decline in btc dominance from the end of December 2020 (72%) to now (40%).

https://www.tradingview.com/symbols/CRYPTOCAP-BTC.D/

IMHO, this has to reverse within a week or two, otherwise it would be difficult to recover and we would move (regrettably for me) from one hegemon (bitcoin) to a multi-polar crypto world.
It is not a popular possibility around here and my largely btc position would affect my worth (or the lack of it), but someone needs to point out that this scenario is possible.

TLDR; a bear market starting in 1-2 wk to smash alts or a true multi-polar crypto world is coming. Btc ETF approval could swing the balance back in btc favor, but I don't see anything else doing it, judging by the current dynamics.

Off course CMC is relevant. Perception is everything to retail traders, they don't work on actual analysis, and CMC is one reason we are losing/lost them. I leave the computer for 10 hours, check price when I get back BTC is lower and shitcoins are higher. Zero retail interest in BTC. All time low dominance is at 32% will we get there?

As you say, unless we see a major market crash that is not just aimed at BTC, we will take out those lows. With so many extra shitcoins this time its hard not to take out the lows honestly. The real question though is does ETH flip BTC? if so, that is a psychological hit that will deeply scare.

For 10 years now BTC has been attacked at all levels by all relevant authorities and charlatans, the shitcoins encounter none of this, it's amazing we have held on so long. Will these forces of evil finally win? History shows time and time again how retarded the sheeple are, the sheeple always seem to go along with those who want to hurt them, so long term it's not promising.

I hold out hope though that BTC pulls through and retains it's dominance. It is after all the coin that created the market, the only coin released for pure good intentions to make the world a better place, rather than to enrich the founders like every other shitcoin.

EDIT: I guess another relevant question is, when dominance hit 32% last cycle, what turned it around?

So a thought.

The reason for the (hopefully) increase back up in dominance this time will be that Musk will no longer have any effect on BTC, proving again that no single megalomaniac can bend BTC to his will. This in itself will encourage money back into BTC, because its stability and resilience has once again been proven. Just like when Ver finally relieved us of his presence.

The market now being reminded that Doge/ETH are in complete control by a single fail point (individual) will discourage further investment.

The doge coin followers are going to get everything they asked, just like when any populace elects a megalomaniac, narcissistic, dictator to rule over them.

We are born as babies and babies are not born with hate ore racism, all bullshit, it's being learned through society and society needs to change and to change it we need to start changing the financial system first to reach world peace. That's why Bitcoin is extremly important.

Stay positive. Your thoughts will be your words, words will be your deeds, deeds will become your personality and that will determines your destiny.

Make love not war!

(Out of merrits so i can't send a few to Arriemoller and Farmer Bill.) Sad

Great! There are no winners in war, only Losers so spread the message of peace acrss the globe.

Oh come on, that's hippie talk.
Was there no winner when the allied beat the axis powers?
Was there no winner when South Korea pushed the communists back above the 38th parallel?

Banksters are the winners of every war.  Its a fantastic business.

WoW, Israel has gone crazy.

Gaza is being under attack with a lot of air strikes, tmhey have been attacking non-stop the whole night.

2 million Palestinians live in a besieged 365 km². Shocked

Waking up to see all those corpses from little children is disgusting.

Or.
WoW, Palestine has gone crazy.

Israel is being under attack with a lot of air strikes, they have been attacking non-stop the whole night.

8,6 million Israelis live in a besieged 20 770 km². Shocked

Waking up to see all those corpses from little children is disgusting.

The Muslims/Palestines started it, all they have to do to not get bombed is leave Israel alone.

Someone should bang their heads together or stop the OCCUPATION

Of corse we all want that unfortunately it will not happen, this conflict has been going on for centuries and will continue for years ore even decades to come, in fact they battle eachother in times way before Jezus was alife.

The nationalists Jews wants to settle a long term score to eradicate all the hard-line Palestinian Arab nationalists from the area to make room for ''Greater Isreal'' while the non-nationalists from both camps wants to live together peacefully sharing both the holy lands, the normal people will suffer as always.

They already made peace deals with former enemy (muslim) countries so don't expect support besides minor muscletalk from Egypt, they recieve fundings and missiles from Iran but Iran is Shias and this brings other conflict in the mix between Shias and Sunnis, it's just basiclly a major shithole.

There is a nice book by a Palestinian hill walker who writes about the ever shrinking landscape he is allowed to walk on.

Palestinian Walks: Forays into a Vanishing Landscape – Raja Shehadeh

But how would Russia (or for that matter any one else) respond if 2000 missiles were fired at them.

This is the WO though and not the place for a heated discussion on a very complicated situation.

Some serious FUD last few days, very good of that nice man Elon to cause a panic 10% off sale so that those deserving buyers could relieve the panic stricken of their coins.
Now I wonder what they will do with their $$$ ? let them rot away at 5% loss per year or buy back in at a higher price.

Probably same shit US did when someone tried to fuck with 'murika. Fuck them up hard, then claim to bring "freedom" to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya, while making friends with the Saudis. Problem is no one believed them back then either. I still don't see any vacation ads for Tripoli, and after many lost lives those countries are bigger shitholes before the whole thing started, but i'm sure someone benefited from such arrangements.

As far as Palestine, I feel for Israelis being attacked, but if the map is true, looks like at this rate they just need few more "attacks" to completely wipe Palestine off the map completely.

I liked to read R0ach's posts, regardless of the content, they were always with well reasoned argument, he fairly accurately predicted the dip in silver prices, when I was in the market to buy some. Sub $14 in Dec 2015 its now $27.xx wow nearly twice price now. A pretty good investment.

Bitcoin was around $450 at the time.
I guess he was just defeated to see Bitcoin out performing silver by such a huge margin and decided to quit posting his arguments have been proven totally wrong.
Given his love of precious metal I never did understand the anti Semite stuff, maybe he was a Jew himself but a self loathing one.
