It is clear that the shorting bitmex, binance, etc. dump groups are in haste to make one more long squeeze before MicroStrategy starts buying. This is the last pathetic attempt of the bears to fool the world that Bitcoin is in a bear market. Having said that, the morons who put high leverage long positions have been slaughtered. On Bitmex only, over $30 mil have been liquidated in the last 12 hours. I really don't understand why those guys prefer to lose their money by long positions instead of just buying and hodling for several years. The question is how much did it cost the shorters to squeeze those longs. They may not be in profit at all, considering that their coordinate dump is not joined by many. At least the spot exchange inflow is continuing to decline, which shows that neither STH, nor LTH have any interest to sell at these prices. On the contrary, nobody is scared and the accumulation continues. I am so well prepared for any attempt to bring the price below 30K, so no worries at all! Bring it on, bears and better hurry to cash out your shorts, because your greed will be punished if you don't do it. I want to see several billions $s short massacre on all derivate exchanges, and it will happen soon! Die shorts, die! And longs, FFS, go to spot exchanges and just buy and hodl!!!  Grin Grin Grin

My general policy is not to buy a declining market, but if there will be a large scale capitulation event, then maybe it will be worth a shot to have a bigger buy.
I won't care to name the number at which I would be enticed to proceed, maybe will go with a gut feeling if I have time...being swamped at work right now.

BTW..the current poll likely to have a typo as 7-19(!) mo is preceding 9-12 mo. In any case...it is what it is.

I revised my post a wee bit (including that cited part), but still.. I think that we can agree to disagree.  Can we not? I think that you are both coming off as too judgmental and seem to have some kind of built in (wrong) presumption that people are less than objective because they are talking their book (maybe even subliminally).

I will agree that many of the more active participants are interested in a common topic, and some of us have more time than others to participate in discussion here.  But, even amongst peeps who seem to agree, we don't necessarily agree as much you seem to be making us out to be agreeing.

Probably you need to hang out with us a bit more, so you will lessen the quantity of your premature (and ill-founded) judging.. and join the fucking club.. where's your hat? where's your lazer eyes?  Don't you know nuttin about being a proper WO moonie?  At least you got such the right wow name for it.  #nohomo.

Disagreeing is half 99% of the fun on the intertubes, otherwise it would be an utterly boring circle jerk. BTW I'm hanging out here probably more than I should, just not posting much because y'all seem to be able to rile each other up without my help LOL. I know, judging-generalizing again.

Seriously though, even if I'm (at least partly) right, it's not necessarily a bad thing. Having this... uhm... supportive atmosphere here probably helped some peeps to not dump their coins at the bottom of a dip. I may disagree on what is or is not positive for Bitcoin but in the long run it all kinda blurs out anyway.

I'm thinking that the president is moving ahead so quickly with the Bitcoin legislation that the US likely will not have time to react in time.

As governments tend to do, they will put together meetings, try to come up with their strategy, they'll make phone calls to gather information that we already know but will take them longer to figure out.

If El Salvador pulls it off in a week or so then it will happen.

If they get bogged down in the processes like the US government then it will likely be stopped.

Likely some investors putting money off the table until things are sorted out, politics wise.
But what can the US do other than spread the usual FUD (money laundering and financing for terrorists) and start sanctioning ES?
If Bitcoin works for ES, it might trigger an avalanche of adoption. As a poor country, what do you have to lose? Keep watching the slow grind down of your economy?
It's fatal to wait in critical situations. You have to decide to move things towards a solution.

And if it does get stopped what's the bet it dumps, even though it didn't pump on the initial announcement.

I think market stability is counting more than optimistic outlook. And this time it's uncertainty, because of lack of experience of how things usually turn out in a specific situation. The money will likely come in later again, anyway.

A lot, there are plenty of examples of leaders in central and latin America that US didn't like. Let's just say they're not looking to well now. US can easily make another Venezuela out of ES, hyperinflation civil unrest and all the typical goodies.

Looks like it might already have started

Chartbuddy that's two missed farts in a row..

You always posting a post link to your imgur post

Yes it works mostly but it's better to post the direct image links or Linked BBCode

Looks like the image link itself is wrong, something related to your autoposting...

Edit:
Btw i wanted to know why left value is always lower than the right value? What exactly you mean by the "closest" bids and asks. Does closest mean last bid and ask?

The large numbers at the top are the latest values for the closest bids and asks. The difference between these is the "spread".

It's been over 10 years, but it's wild to finally see the confirmed end of bitcoin play out in real time. What should we do now?

The end of the western central banks perhaps, but it's still just the beginning for Bitcoin.

PS: I could add laser eyes, but afraid it would burn humanity out of existence.
