Well, the last few hours has definitely been something interesting. Good to see we bounced right the fuck off the 46k mark and now back into the 51's. Kinda sad one person, who is relatively new to crypto and BTC in general, can make a tweet and cause this much panic. I'm not sure what the fucking end game was here but I can tell you it's got nothing to do with BTCs environmental impact. If he gave a shit about that his strip mining operations for lithium would stop too. Plus he's hurt his own investment by knocking the price down some. Time will tell I guess but BTC is bigger than one person and let this serve as a warning to us all... don't champion a single person as a hero in this space, humans are shitty and invariably will let you down

Good morning WO OG! I've slept like a baby through all the dump  Grin This put a wide smile on my face. Reasons: The dump hurt a lot the trend followers! I just can't imagine the pain of these morons, losing 5-10% each day for the last 3 months. And look at the volume on the major exchanges! For 3 hours the sold BTC's are equal to the typical 24-hour volume! All these BTC's were a heavy burden which is now removed. The trend followers were the reason for the resistance at 60K. Squeezing 1-2% profits, while taking multiple 5-10% stop losses is their idea of making a living. Poor morons. I mean, literally.

I call this The HoDLer's Test.

If you are not worried right now, and even make fun of it, well done, you are a seasoned, hardened, true HoDLer.

Whoever logged in to an exchange right now, with the intention to sell, don't forget your pacifier and diapers, and avoid light-colored pants. You are a sissy-ass HoDLer, soon to be parted from your corn.

Or course there will be an ATH, and sooner than some think. This is just an outlier, a glitch that will once again prove the robustness of Bitcoin.

One more obituary added. Been there, done that.

I wasn't worried dipping 50% below my investment point for 3 years, why should now I be worried  Grin Each dip should be used to buy moar, because the return and the profit is guaranteed.

That's the end of the bull market until september/october. The media will spam the sheeps for weeks with elon's tweet. In a few months the big guys have their pockets full of cheap btc and will then push the market to >100k $.

See you again at the end of this year.

Enjoy the show, and more importantly, enjoy your life. Smiley

No, I don't think so. This dip only can accelerate the next bull run. Bitstamp's buying 2K wall down to 41.3K hasn't moved as bears hoped. So, bears failed once again. Their dreams for cheap coins are dead now. They've got the rusty pipe! With all these tens of thousands of BTC's transferred from weak hands to strong hands it makes the new ATH and reaching 100K very, very close.

That is some accelerated recovery going on.
Faster than a Tesla.  Tongue

Congrats to the dip buyers.

As I've noted before, the liquidity of the exchanges in terms of fiat is pretty good. Elon is a moron in some respects (tweets mainly) causing his own investments to shrink. He has done that with Tesla's stocks as well. A weird asperger guy, you know. Of course respect for his space program. Anyway, the recovery is almost complete and I can hear the drumroll of an incoming 100K!

P.S. The options for one of my next cars were reduced to two:
1. Audi e-tron GT.
2. Lambo spider evo.
3. Tesla

Its a shame that an egoistic, megalomaniac and self-serving individual is able to crash the crypto market at will, with a single tweet. When will people realize that Bitcoin is a store of value in itself and doesn't need validation by anyone! Right now its looking like people like Musk can play with the crypto markets at will and make a killing by buying low after crashing the market.

Sheeple gonna sheep.

The "crypto" sheeple flooded this thread with blockchain this and crypto that, defi this and eth that, and the dick sucking went into overdrive. Even the

supposedly Bitcoin OG's bent down and took a length of "Binance & Coinmarketcap tag team" up the old rectum without any lube.

The banking filth and their MSM whores stepped up their FUD game, and most of you fell for the shitcoins cam, whilst driving in your Tesla sitting on Elon's lap... bunch of cunts.

Tesla seeks entry into U.S. renewable fuel credit market.

Elon's recent FUD might have something to do with government and subsidies.

The whole thing about Bitcoin energy use should be put on the right path. Miners pay electricity. They pay because they consider that the costs are lower than the benefit. They have a benefit because Bitcoin proves valuable. If Bitcoin would have no value, no one would mine it.

Short cutting this: the energy use shows how valuable Bitcoin is. And it’s still increasing. Apparently the market appreciates sound uncensorable money.

Indeed , if we invest 600$ in Bitcoin today, it will turn into 1 Million$ when Bitcoin Price reaches 1 Million and I am confident it will reach there but when, very hard to predict correctly.

Regarding your "when" $1million.

We should realize and appreciate that it would be possible for BTC to reach $1million this cycle, even though it would be a long shot, and it is quite likely that this cycle has less than a year to play out -absent that this  cycle plays out a bit longer, such as up to an additional 18 months from now.

Once we see how this cycle plays out, including figuring out what might be the jumping off point for the next cycle, then we will have some better ideas about whether $1million might be reasonable and/or possible for the next cycle... so yeah, it could make a pretty BIG difference if our top for this cycle were to already be "in and then our jumping off point might end up being $20k or $30k for the next cycle (which seems quite doubtful of a scenario), versus the more likely scenario that this cycle plays out into a $150k to $350k top, and thereafter has a correction and a jumping off point for the next cycle in the $60k to $100k range - which seems to cause $1million to be considerably within reach for the next cycle.

Sure, we can make assumptions about how each of the cycles might play out in order to answer our question of when but I do believe that within the next three cycles seems quite likely for reaching $1million and a bit of a stretch to make it this particular cycle, even if the odds seem to become greater and greater for each upcoming cycle- assuming that these cycles continue to play out.. which there really seems to be little to no evidence to presume disappearance of cycles within the next three cycles, either... at least at this time.

I am coming to the conclusion that in the future it may be best to be able to defend your home/property yourself. I could either buy vast acreage and build a fortress, or buy an island that is easier to protect as the only people coming will be coming by boat...which can be defended against.

you know there are these things called "aircraft" that make a lot of traditional defenses useless.

Panama has no military really. Certainly no airforce, no navy. That's a big reason we (Ocean Builders) moved here.

The likely encounters I would have would be drug runners or natives trying to rob me and burn down my home.

A friend of mine owns a lot of land here and he recently had to pretty much go to war with some of the native tribes invading his land. Guns were all he needed to chase them out, but not after they had burned down the buildings and stolen what they could steal.

I doubt they'll send fighter jets from the US to disrupt my vast operation of living off grid raising a couple of cattle so I can eat steaks.

For the book we're writing about the seastead adventure we were asked "what is the end goal for you living on a seastead free from government?"
Our engineer: "A hyperloop to launch people into space"
Me: "A lemonade stand. Unregulated without any police interference."

You are going to need a pretty damned BIG family (and/or island work crew) to eat a whole cow in 6 months to a year, and frozen beef doesn't really keep very well... in my experience... so if you have 10 people living on the island or maybe more, then you are going to need other kinds of meats, too... seems like, so you end up needing to manage quite a few people and animals and might take some getting used to systems.. and trials and errors to find the right peeps.. assuming that you had already found the right spouse.

I thought Elon was smart.

Bummer  Roll Eyes

But maybe he was smart enough to send down the price just to buy moar.
However, propagating that environmental bullshit story wasn't quite a sign of cleverness in the first place, was it?

EDIT: Saylor hasn't educated him enough, it seems...

LMFAO. "We are also looking at other cryptocurrencies that use <1% of Bitcoin's energy/transaction"

Tsk tsk, that's not how cryptocurrency works. Someone really has to run a seminar at Tesla explaining that as soon as more consumers use a cryptocurrency, more miners will come along which'll eventually bring a similar energy consumption as bitcoin.

Lithium mining and cobalt mines ran by children in Africa are better for the environment than btc apparently. Tesla charging stations are powered by fossil fuels. Don't buy Tesla!
