Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Homicide Rate

Panama 9.67per 100k  people

El Salvador 82.84 per 100k people

The high crime rates are great for a before and after comparisons for Bukele and pre-bitcoin.

"As a result of his Territorial Control Plan, El Salvador's homicide rate fell 52 homicides per 100,000 people in 2018, the highest in the world at the time, to only 3.7 homicides per 100,000 people in January 2020."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nayib_Bukele

Which would put it lower than Panama (2018).

The city, Colon, I spoke of is 26.2 murders per 100k.
https://www.newsroompanama.com/news/colon-murder-capital-of-the-isthmus

It will be good to see all of those crime numbers go down as people become prosperous in less risky professions.

lets see if this channel holds

What does a channel mean?  It means that we are staying in such channel until we don't?

hahahahaha

That sounds silly when saying it out loud, doesn't it?

HA HA! Guys, after years of holding, I sold 4 hrs ago into Fiat. And now it pumps. Pathetic  Cheesy I sold all of my Solana because it pumped the last days. Anyway, big in profit. Traded 1 BTC into Solana 2 months ago and as I sold it was worth 1.75 BTC. I just was not sure if I should trade into BTC or Fiat. Because of the bearish sentiment I chose Fiat so I could buy back more BTC later if it dumps. Was gambling. Lets see, I dont trust the pump yet. But the volume looks very good! And it feels good to have soma Fiat on the side if its a fake breakout.

You sound pretty damned close to mindrust in March 2020 right now.  Wow.  Thought that guys would learn their lesson from how extreme the mindrust situation was and then we get guys playing almost the same smarter-than strategy... including fucking around with their full stash.. how deluded peeps can get, no?

Of course, each situation is going to have nuances in terms of differences, but still.. crazy... crazy things happen here in bitcoinlandia..

Those numbers I posted are 2021.

Yes they dropped their rate 50% in 2020 but that just goes to show you how insane it was to begin with.

Anywho, I think my point stands that you do not want to go there with your bitcoin.

Easy mate, I did not sell any of my Bitcoin. Its just a part of my alt stash. Its still lower than the price I sold solana. Sold at 35.11€ and its at 34.5€. Solana got pumped 20% since yesterday. Was time to take profit. Unfortunately thats my first time doing it. Wish I had done that with other alts on their peaks too.

Sweden doesn't have a legal tender per se, anyone is free to use whatever currency they want, and any store can refuse or accept any currency they want, including SEK. The tax authorities have decided to only accept SEK though.

fact check: it's different in Sweden.

For 350 years, Swedish society has relied on the Riksbank to provide the general public with various forms of the country’s currency, the Swedish krona. Cash issued by the Riksbank has been legal tender since the 1850s. Cash use has decreased rapidly in Sweden and a scenario within the not-too-distant future, in which cash is not generally accepted, can’t be ruled out.

https://www.riksbank.se/en-gb/press-and-published/notices-and-press-releases/press-releases/2019/the-riksbank-proposes-a-review-of-the-concept-of-legal-tender/

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-04-29/swedish-central-bank-wants-answer-to-what-s-legal-tender-fast

I wrote "per se".
Of course the state issues money and of course the state accepts it's own money only.
But there is no obligation for any shops to accept the states money, you can legally refuse to accept Swedish coins and banknotes, and accept bitcoin or dollars or bolivars or shiny buttons if you so like.
That's not what the English term "legal tender" usually means, that usually means that you have to accept whatever is deemed legal tender, as is now happening in El Salvador.

... the wink suggests you know something we don't; are you living in El Salvador or visit there frequently?

... you said something about the Police/Government killing more people than the gangs, what was that about?

... it seems hard to get good information from wiki or are you just spreading some FUD?

That's even worse... you are talking about shitcoins here?

I was being too nice to you because I thought that you were merely on topic and devolving ur lil selfie into a mindrust-like meltdown, but instead you are MOAR worser than that?

Gosh, I am too nice of a guy(bot), for not catching your shitcoinnening in this here sacred non-shitcoining and no bullshit thread.

... so just more hints of some unspecified nefarious agendas. Are you being held hostage by El Salvadorian government thugs or something you are not allowed to talk about?

... like if I want to go there and look at some volcanoes, mountains, lakes and waterfalls for a holiday is there a good chance I'll get murdered? or worse?

... or set-up a mining operation on the top of a volcano in the cool mountain air  Wink Wink

my guess is you don't know shit about El Salvador but like to say cool-sounding stuff on the intertubes.
