Anyone else seeing this?

Currency (Forex, FX) trading is a bitch. The markets are very erratic and you have no volume information because it is OTC trading of the Big Banks.

Crypto markets are still very immature. Susceptible to manipulation because of the low trading volume. Buy and HODL on a longer horizon may be a much better idea there.

Found a good YT channel:

A Highly Effective Trading Strategy (For Beginners)

How To Draw Fibonacci Extensions The Right Way (Tutorial)

99.99% Of Traders Make This Mistake (Price Action)

In addition to that: How to draw Fibonacci Retracement levels the right way? In a down swing the 100% (1.0) is above and the 0% (0.0) is below.

https://www.investopedia.com/articles/active-trading/091615/how-set-fibonacci-retracement-levels.asp

Ahhh I am doing it reversed. Sorry you're right. Maybe I do need a refresher course... IOU a merit.

Actually the headline is incorrect.  The number is 500 BILLION. (1/2 TRILLION)  Three orders of magnitude higher.  Lol-copter.  The fact that they are sitting on an amount of CASH that is the size of the ENTIRE NATIONAL DEBT in ~1975.  Think about that!  All that money we are printing... as we know they are closest to the damn faucet.  Cantillon.

This makes me remember something I have been thinking about.

It's lucky for the bankers that "million, billion and trillion" rhyme.  Our brains think of them as analogous to 1, 2 and 3.  What's a trillion?  Just the 3rd "illion" in a row right?  Bigger than a billion, bigger than a million.

Here is something I use to snap myself back into perspective.

A million seconds ago?  Last week.
A billion seconds ago?  Jimbo was in his 30s somewhere.
A trillion seconds ago?  ~35,000 YEARS before recorded history.

They have a half trillion USD in their reserves.  It is both shameful AND embarrassing.

@Dabs:

I side with Jay on the afterlife part. I would even say that the odds of it existing are far fewer than 1%. Perhaps 0+% (the + is for being scientific). As for your bet on it existing or not and where it will land you after you die, it's an interesting argument that many people use (i.e., winning this life vs. an eternal afterlife), but, according to almost all religious texts, this mindset will not land you in a nice place after you die, so you'd better pray there's no afterlife...

Its a little bit more involved than that, I guess you could say it starts with that mindset, until you change your way of thinking and willingness to help other people and your fellow brothers in humanity. Whether the answer is yes or no, I would like to live a life where I am remembered by at least a few that I have had it okay or good or something along those lines.

Proof or evidence is a matter of faith. One can not really see it, but either you take the leap or you don't.

The mindset I prefer is one stemming from love, not fear. Criminals fear law enforcement. Good people are good just because they feel good when they do good.

There comes a time in a man's life where the world has shaken so violently, every tenant of what he previously thought of as talent or even competence melts away. A tragedy so gruesome, a burden so heavy, that the only choices that remain are A.) to have faith in a higher power and place one foot in front of the other in the hopes that benevolent power will see you through to the other side or B.) crumple to the ground and hope death is swift.
I am so glad to see that there are so many who have never truly experienced literal Hell... but wisdom dictates that we make efforts not to sever that last lifeline for the sake of those that may need it. True courage is not a lack of fear, but an acknowledgement that there are worse fears possible than the one immediately at hand, and the willful choice to face the immediate as a bulwark against the possible. It is much easier to dismiss the concept of a greater good than to ignore the existence of true evil. But once you've truly grappled with evil, it's impossible to continue forward in a world where one exists but not the other. So as we frolic through these bright days convinced that we have created our own good fortune, let us not forget that true evil does lurk in the shadows. Let us cling to that "less than 1%" just in case, because when the chips are down and at last call Lucifer himself appears to lay down 4 Kings, you just might need that Ace up your sleeve after all.

also assuming the lizards/humans/whatever is here thousands of years from now dont just go digging bodies up and running their brain through the Key-O-Matic-4000 Blend-Tastic and run the juice through their pocket sequencer and pull that seed from your brain juice. then dump the rest of your brain in the compost pile.

Definitely. Or maybe they'll use a $5 wrench. But probability of the head ending up in compost pile is like 99%.

Then walk out with your 100btc wallet code still in your head. And into a bright new future.

Walk out? On legs? Your head will order new legs on Amazon? Probability: 1%.

From Alcor's site:

Quote
Hal’s long-stated wishes were to come to Scottsdale once he lost the ability to communicate with family and friends. When that time arrived, he was flown to Scottsdale by air ambulance with his wife, Fran, at his side. Hal and Fran Finney arrived in Scottsdale, Arizona on Tuesday August 26 where Hal was checked into ICU of a hospital near Alcor where the Alcor response team was set-up and waiting.

After the family had a chance to say their goodbyes, Hal’s ventilator was disconnected and he was allowed to breathe naturally, all while medical providers ensured that he had no conscious awareness of the process. Defying doctors’ expectations, he didn’t draw his final breath until 38 hours later, shortly before 9:00 am on Thursday August 28. Immediately after pronouncement of legal death, Alcor’s standby team went into action, restoring circulation, ventilation, administering an array of medications, and initiating external cooling. Cryoprotective perfusion — to eliminate ice formation — has been completed and Hal is now undergoing cool down to -196 degC for long term storage where he be cared for until the day when repair and revival may be possible.

Hal paid for his cryopreservation through a combination of life insurance and bitcoins donated by admirers. His wife, Fran, also has arrangements for cryopreservation. She is glad to have a chance to see him again sometime in the future when they may return in restored and rejuvenated bodies.

I guess that's the ultimate kind of "cold storage". I hope he gets "reanimated" soon, although I have my doubts as to whether this is even possible.

@100trillionUSD
Just to confirm: both my S2F(X) model and on-chain signal point towards a second run of this bull market🚀

https://twitter.com/100trillionusd/status/1404845184819544067?s=21

@cyper_m00n
whats the end game for S2F? doesn't the price have to stop increasing at some point?
https://twitter.com/cypher_m00n/status/1404845593474764802?s=21

@100trillionUSD
As I have said before in interviews (all interviews at PlanBTC.com): the end game for S2F model is when we can no longer interpolate, i.e. S2F ratio above real estate level (S2F100). So IMO we can follow S2F model this phase (2020-2024) and next phase (2024-2028).

@cypher_m00n
thank you for the response. ok let's see! if we fail to recapture higher levels within the next 6 months do you think S2F will need to be revised?

@100trillionUSD
yes, we will have to be at least above $100K end of this year to keep S2F model on the rails

@100trillionUSD
2013 style indeed

don't want to counterfeit imitate prodhun but $38k may be possible the next days.  Roll Eyes

Of course, a lot of things are actually possible, and even more things may be possible, whether we are talking days or longer.

In udder words... not saying much to proclaim something or another "may be" possible.

@Dabs:

You, Dabs, are making the question more involved, and seem to be wanting to push some kind of agenda.. or at least to discuss the Pascal wager, when that was not even brought up by anyone except for you extending the conversation into never never landia, if there even is such a place?.

Largely, all that was being asked or talked about by AlcoHoDL were probabilities of whether there is and afterlife in terms of whether he is actually going to have any kind of capacity to see his lil ded selfie during the funeral or whatever, which is also contemplating whether death is actually final.  So surely we moved quickly passed that part because we were both largely in agreement that the odds were pretty damned low.. but still maybe something to mention as a kind of possible fantasy.

So now you, Dabs, seem to want to double down and talk some more about whether some peeps should be motivated to be "goodie goodie" based on if they believe that they could end up getting punished in the even that they do not live sufficiently "goodie goodie" in this current life. In some sense you are coming off as patronizing and pretentious to act as if some of us have not come across such ideas, but you may well being patronizing and pretentious as well to be trying to push us into some kind of nonsense religious topic because you want to talk about it, when it was NOT even mentioned beyond as a kind of passing thingie.

Whether the answer is yes or no, I would like to live a life where I am remembered by at least a few that I have had it okay or good or something along those lines.

Nothing wrong with that, and in that regard, I doubt how you remembered is dependent on their being an afterlife or not.. but maybe how you remembered is one of the ONLY forms of actual afterlife that exists - so you are kind of alive - even though not materially - until the last person forgets you... perhaps?

Proof or evidence is a matter of faith. One can not really see it, but either you take the leap or you don't.

We (that's the royal we plus 1... and all that matters for all intents and purposes) have already ruled it out, here.

The mindset I prefer is one stemming from love, not fear. Criminals fear law enforcement. Good people are good just because they feel good when they do good.

Surely that point has something to do with the price of tea in China, especially if we dig down really MOAR deeper.

Now, that's a more reasonable take on Pascal's wager.

They are both way out there.. but sure.. freezing your head at least seems to have a some kind of "chance" (in the Dumb and Dumber Jim Carey sense).. gosh, not even sure if that is greater than 1% whether we are referring to 20-50 years or 100 years, 1,000 years or even longer.. but hey science does have ways of surprising us regarding what is actually possible in terms of ending up actually being able to later carry out what was initially theorized as to being impossible.
