On the earlier discussion about money not making you happy. I recall a study done where it's not so much that money makes you happy but not having money makes you less happy. I think the key is to reach the point where you're not worried about money anymore so you can focus on better things in life. But the less money you have, you certainly do need to worry about money. I've been at the lowest end of the scale to well beyond the highest and I would agree. I would caveat this with the fact that though I did not have money (I figured out the many ways to cook potatoes as it was all I had to eat for weeks, and later finding Bar-S hot dogs for $1 and a loaf of bread for $1 could get me through a week of meals) I knew that if things got too bad I could fall back on family. So my level of desperation never hit huge lows. My current goal in life is not about having super cool awesome stuff, lambos, etc. It's about ensuring that the rest of my life I am not in the position I was early in my life. My problem with government has always been that they are the biggest factor in stopping me from ensuring my future through the use of violence. Thx elwar…. I’m very interested in these kind of studies… Good when I have some discussions with some peeps I’m of the opinion Money doesn’t make happy… but it make thing way easier and that’s why it does make people happy Like not have the need of worrying to pay monthly bills, able of going on holidays etc Then comes the point of more money could be better, holidays can go easier more exciting, a bigger car, better house little more luxury things etc Do I need most of gadgets not really but when there is more money then mostly more things are being bought. I can say there isn’t really a lot making me happy these days from gadgets, I do like a nice house to call home and a nice car to drive with…. So money doesn’t necessarily makes one happy but the comfort it can give and taking away some stress points that’s something anyone becomes happy from… Being able of taking my Gf or brother or someone I like on a trip or at a high class restaurant and give them the experience they wouldn’t have … that makes me happy as well So I’m in favor of having more money as less money is a thing that could give join, an important thing maybe is to use it on important stuff as well and not only gadgets …

It's not a "DeFi hack", it's a buggy smart contract that was built on a buggy platform with a buggy programming language.
I've said for a while that they should have used a language that was designed for the domain where the contracts could be mathematically proven. Possibly they should have gone with COBOL or something More like RPG.

I can feel the engines starting up, the train is getting ready to leave the station once again.
Yeah, so true. It has even broken out of the $30,718 – $40,921 range where it was trapped for weeks to the up side. This announces the second leg of the bull rally, imho.

But it's not the same at all.

Every dip is getting eaten at the moment, this feels like a really strong base for a run at a new ATH within the next 6-8 weeks.
I’m a lot happier with the way things are going at the moment. We’ve all been involved in bitcoin for a long time now but it doesn’t make times like May 2021 any easier. I was a panicking little bitch for long periods back then. It really does feel like we’re getting ready for new highs soon now.
I can feel the engines starting up, the train is getting ready to leave the station once again.
I think we have all been that panicking little bitch these couples of months :D

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity
This is a bit different than the custodial "hacks" of yore. Technically the code is public, which would make a backdoor quite difficult to implement and hide, and the team doesn't own customers' funds. And we have ETH/DAO precedent, which already showed that shitcoiners can't code for shit. But they can just roll the chain back so it's fine, it's like a free beta test with OPM.

But it's not the same at all. You have to realize that your personal experience does not apply to the whole population. You might not get happier if you get rich, but the majority of people do, as shown by science, and me. In this one you are simply wrong I'm afraid.

if they convince the hackers to repent and send back 575 million of the 600 million. You are very likely correct.

I'm just having a break with coffee and a Danish I think called Fika in Sweden, while deciding whether to treat a crop today, with the risk of rain or wait until tomorrow. Your English language skills are excellent.
He have improved so much in fact that I had forgotten he is not a native speaker and only after reading this recalled how bad he was originally. Well done Arrie, I wish I could become bi-lingual but I'm too stupid to learn another language and after being a native English speaker my entire life still consider this illogical conglomerate of inconstant arbitrarian descriptives a second language. So, I went back and checked my first posts, I don't think the English in them is bad at all, are you confusing me with someone else? And thanks. The police would be investigating this and I doubt PolyNetwork would offer anything without the police knowing about it. Maybe the police are trying to catch the hacker by encouraging them to communicate with them.
