Sometimes I wonder why some of you even participate in society.
Like there's a choice. There's always a choice. I can't imagine the misery you live in if you hate every aspect of society.

Has anyone else noticed how low the mempool is... block sizes are small as well. I am opening LN channels for 1SAT/vByte.
I really need to get back into Lightning again. Running an Umbrel node that I'm super happy with, but just haven't had the incentive or desire to play with Lightning again - Too much other stuff going on in my life sorta thing. Half debating surveying for natural gas deposits around 2025'ish on segments of our ranch, and see if I can't start doing some of that waste-emission-based mining with some of the new offerings available. I mean, we'll have at least 50kWh of Solar available to us, but not enough to run a serious mining op - Will be entirely dedicated to powering the ranch/home needs. Anyway, back to playing FFVIX I guess... Sorta kinda having a love/hate relationship with that game getting a Summoner up to level 73 so far...

I'm merely stating fact. You think that's informed consent you have? Stating a fact or asking a question? They are two different things, Bob. Again, what does it feel like being a self-righteous prick?

The world is run by criminals with a license. That's why I do not understand when Bitcoiners scream at Banks, SEC, IWF etc. and then believe the WHO or CDC is any different. They all want to keep them self rich, no matter how. They do not give a shit about you and me and if we are healthy etc. The only goal of this was mass vaccination for profits. They installed and installing a vaccination system that will never end. You will need a booster shot every 6 months for the rest of your life. İf you do not get your booster, you get downgraded to unvaccinated status.
Oh no, I get a free vaccine shot.. these damn rich people just making themselves rich. lol you paid for your "free" vaccine twice over through taxation. When did this board get this naive? I haven't had an increased tax rate in.. 10 years. How does that work? Or are you saying I by default pay for the vaccine through taxation as they take part of that taxation that would have otherwise gone to something else and put it towards vaccination? They've already spent your future tax boy.

Ribeye, Med-Rare... Prime Rib, dab of horseradish... Ground Chuck, wrapped in Bacon...
Dude.. lose the rib eye (not the horse radish though ) and go with strip steak, cut extra thick, cooked in cast iron skillet on high heat to sear and create Maillard reaction. Medium rare. Baked potato with sour cream, butter and chives, roasted head of broccoli with olive oil and infused garlic cloves... Smoke a fatty and indulge. Its's one of life's simple pleasures. (in my book anyway...) use only grass fed brisket. Personally, I'll take top blade (flatiron) over either ribeye or striploin any day, although I do eat all 3. It's more tender and more flavorful than either. The only thing more tender than the flatiron (infraspinatus) is the tenderloin (psoas major) which is seriously lacking in flavor. I also consider medium rare to be overcooked. As for the beef itself, I prefer grain fed and barley finished Wagyu, Longhorn/Charolaise cross, Limousin, or Hereford, but Angus will do in a pinch. It absolutely must be humanely harvested, preferably on-farm, and dry aged for 21 days. I think 21 days is the sweet spot. Too much fear in slaughterhouse beef. It affects the flavor.

I take it you don't normally indulge in a Subway mystery meat steak bomb with extra American cheese food product.....

Sometimes I wonder why some of you even participate in society.
I doubt you really meant that. It's called society (from: social, ) for a reason. Therefore it's not called conformity or uniformity. Social organisms, including humans, live collectively in interacting populations. This interaction is considered social whether they are aware of it or not, and whether the exchange is voluntary/involuntary.

Has anyone else noticed how low the mempool is... block sizes are small as well.
I am opening LN channels for 1SAT/vByte.
And yet lightning network use is increasing parabolically. Bitcoin is scaling. Miners have lost nothing. Blocks continue to be found and added tot he chain. And by the time the subsidy is small fees will not longer be 1s/b. But most people are talking about de-fi and ETH. Heh. If it was obvious... there would be no real opportunity. ETH will try to scale with ETH 2.0 However, if that fails then the price will fall while dragging Defi behind it. Bitcoin is just a smarter investment. Good quote. Banks are indeed going down the Blockbuster path. The future is now. Most of the midwits that talk about Ethereum on twitter are basically defending it with the EXACT same logic we have heard for 5+ years. That it has "features" bitcoin does not have on the base layer and therefore is capable of different things. For example: But TINA gets it 100% right here, though he's also taking a "toxic" jab. The thing missing from Gretta's understanding is "Why Blockchain?". The fact this is still even a topic of such widespread magnitude is MADDENING to me. Ethereum has made a fundamental design flaw. There is no reason to put the "whole world on a L1 blockchain" unless what you really want is a massively wasteful panopticon. (Certain meglomaniac sociopaths might actually find this attractive, sadly). I do not think it is even possible for Moore's law to ever bring us to where this is a good idea either. Because as we store more data in these immutable databases the data we are storing is increasing just as the computational power to store and process them is. We will always have more data to store than easy ability to do it, and in the end the right way to DO Ethereum is for it to be run on distributed networks ANCHORED on a blockchain. Liquid is a possible other compromise here. It's fedarated model anticipates some centralization, and if Liquid is actually used that blockchain is gonna get BIIIIIG. Why store the entire data on the blockchain if you can store the hash of that data though? I suppose the argument would be to never lose that stored data. Which means the entire world "database" also has an endless undo button as it branches out ridiculously in every direction forever. I dunno... maybe I am an idiot. George Gilder has actually sided with the lunatics (in my opinion) on this one... which actually scares me. He's a fairly brilliant bastard.
