https://www.newsbtc.com/news/bitcoin/bitcoin-whale-wallet-with-150-million-activated-after-8-years/

And you guys scared one of these whales to move their coins.. Keep talking about "abandoned" coins and we might see some movement from old addresses.

C'mon! I think i remember that quite some amounts were moved before black friday in the past years. They didn't even mention how many BTC were transacted, to which addresses, etc.
Maybe it even was an old dog from this forum, who went to somewhere in the world to dig out a long time hidden seedword list he left there once.
I would be scared if multiple "in-only" addresses where BTC were accumulated within the last 4 years would send all of their coins to a single exchange, but roughly 2.200 BTC? That's a tiny fraction of the total of the MtGox case addresses.

It was probably proudhon moving some of his stack.

I've got > 2000 and < 5000.  Last year when I started I remember thinking "I hope one day to have 200".  On then on the way down from $32 I kept scooping them up with my biggest haul coming in at $2.4x after the last $2.00 bounce.  I keep saying to myself, "I've got enough", and I think I've got plenty, but it'd sure be nice to have 10,000...

New wordy man is far more interesting than old wordy man.

Also observing $16k incoming.

There is something to be said about consistency.

Which one is more (less) consistent?  Asking for a friend.

Lets not try to answer questions about the fabric of time and space in haste.

This is a Conundrum that should be analyzed annually as new data is observed and correlated.

And as was expected one contestant just didn't have the fortitude.

Are you suggesting that nullius did not have a kind of staying power?

You can see in nullius's posting history that his posting behaviors has continued to go in streaks...  and gosh we never are going to really know if he might come back for a month or two and bombard us with "interesting information."  Surely in the very beginning of his time on the forum (which coincidentally started at the beginning of the implementation of the merit system) a lot of folks considered that he was something close to a genius (reflected in his earned merits in the beginning as well), but he got into a variety of battles and even controversial support of questionable members, not even referring to his seemingly blind support of Lauda.. which hey, I never really had any problems with Lauda - even though towards the end of her forum membership, she also would sometimes become too personally attached to some of her positions which converted her from being exceptionally right on various topics to being not as much right.. and seemingly drawn into battles to preserve her personal reputation.

Another problematic thing about nullius was that he had quite a few difficulties staying on topic, even if some of the things that he would be saying would have been well within an "interesting" categorization, and maybe a relieving point was that he did tend to neither support shitcoin talk nor any kind of investing into shitcoins - even though his supposed bitcoin position was a wee bit weird in terms of what would have been his suggestions of how to manage/balance finances (such as how much value (short-term, even) to keep in such a volatile asset such as bitcoin.. is it even realistic to be suggesting either to keep 100% into bitcoin or to be deferring gratification so damned much that your wealth is going to your heirs rather than yourself - with questionable situation whether there are sufficient balancing considerations there - even though for sure personal discretionary questions anyhow).

Yes. Smiley

I can understand guys like arrie or philipma being nervous - they're 60+ and want to live now. BTC mooning in 10-15-20 years may appear useless to them...

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Bitcoin is going up
So fuck you

~

From where is that table, bPsycho?  I know that tradingview has 1 month charts..

is the chart that you posted from another site, or are you getting that chart from trading
view?

Anyone?  Anyone?

It's tradingview software, mobile version by looks of it. Not sure which exchange, but can tell by the logo. Not sure the relevance either to be honest...
It's certainly how it looks to me when I go to TV 1M chart and go from log to linear, which is a scary thing to be doing imo.

Otherwise not sure why I keep seeing occasional panic in the market. Price dropped 10% to re-test 2 week long resistance level, in order to confirm it as support.
It's healthy stuff if you ask me. Liquidate some longs without providing a good shorting opportunity. Volume is the only "concern" right now, not price.

... precisely, they're basically still part of the old speculative fiat world looking for one last bubble to get them through retirement ... best they unload their bags properly because they fundamentally don't believe in bitcoin as the new money and come up with some crazy fucking ideas on how it should work.
