Talking about interesting and important posts, here is that picture of my new medal I was talking about.

As I said, it used to be a badge, marking the number of years you served in the home guard, in my case twenty years. A nice little thing to put on your uniform and a nice encouragement for the lads. You can see it on the right side of the good looking lieutenants chest on the picture below.
But now they have made it into a medal and I'm heavily against that, a nice badge for encouragement yes, a medal for showing up for work, no, definitely not.
Medals should be reserved for more important things than that.
And it also leaves the right side of the uniform kind of empty, and its uglier than the badge.

In other words, anyone is free to contribute in this thread whether newbie or more ranking member on the forum, and we frequently have new members chiming into this thread (and some of them come from other parts of the forum and some of them lurk for a decent amount of time before chiming in).. and surely any new member whether low ranking or not (whether having a hat or not) is free to contribute and participate..

Yes, that's how I have experienced it. I think the first few times I posted something in the thread I was a newbie but I just don't think I ever expected a certain reaction. Sometimes I posted something and no one responded, and it didn't matter to me.

You have to be aware of what this thread is, as Arriemoller says:

...it's not uncommon in this thread to not have someone react to your posts. We just don't care and post anyway.

I didn't know naim027 at all and we were accused of being alts (which I could prove to be false). The only thing I hope is that he understands well the people here and how the thread works.

So Arrie, what is 'home guard'? Is that like the National Guard in the U.S.?

Yes, pretty much.
From Wikipedia.

"The Home Guard – National Security Forces (Swedish: Hemvärnet – Nationella skyddsstyrkorna) is a military reserve force of the Swedish Armed Forces. It was formally established on May 29, 1940, during World War II upon popular demand.[2] While originally composed of former militia groups, today it comprises half of the Swedish Army, thus constituting the basis of the territorial defence of Sweden.

The Home Guard consists mainly of local rapid response units, numbering 17,000 of the 22,000 total Home Guard strength, organised in 40 battalions,[3] with 23 associated auxiliary defence organisations. Most soldiers maintain a civilian job while serving the army part-time. Rapid response units were formed in the early 2000s in parallel to the Swedish government's abolishment of conscription to the Swedish Armed Forces; small-scale conscription has since been reintroduced."

I was in the Marines Home Guard for the first ten years and then the army for another ten.
The exercises can be rather taxing sometimes, Oh to be young again, (not me on the picture but from an actual exercise).

I want to say something about WO Thread. I am active here for the last 40+ days. To be honest I have never been welcomed here but some of you guys helped me a lot and teach me many things.

If you are insecure about your lil selfie, this is the last place you should be posting.
You've never been welcome?  And yet you say quote "you guys helped me a lot and teach me many things".. hmmmm...

IDK if you guys will be surprised or not, I thought you were all guys from the same country, same city and you all know each other. ....
We all are not from same country, we are, however, all from the same community (bitcoin). We mostly know one another in here, but not irl (with maybe a couple of exceptions)

... That's why you guys talking to each other only.

no

.... I was posting 10+ posts a day for the first few days and I remember I said "Guys, am I invisible today?" Because I was posting here and nobody cares. No one ever replies to me.

Dude...grow a spine. I know in today's snowflake society that sounds harsh, but its actually meant to help you.
Stop looking for "atta boy!"  pats on the back /merits and they will come in time, as long as you make quality posts.

..... After that, JJG Quotes me and he said Yeah, You are annoying. I did argue with him but that makes no sense cause that was true that I am annoying (IDK if I am still annoying). So I stepped down slowly and post less here.

see above...

... I said nope, just be active and make some good posts.

Great advice, you are learning.

..... Do you guys know why he asked me that?

Probably has the same issues you do.

... He posted a few times and he didn't get any replies from anyone.
My goodness what a tragedy.

... I don't think the WO thread is for Legendaries and Heroes.
I agree

.... But look at the WO Thread. There are only Legendaries and Heroes.
You are here, so that debunks that statement.

...No one pays attention to low-ranked members until he is recognized.

This post debunks that statement.

Anyways, I am sorry if I hurt you guys. Wink

And don't grovel.

Oh... and welcome to the WO.

also from that old page:

Currently an basic Aventador has a MSRP of $421,145 or 35.85 bitcoins. When the price of a Lambo goes to 1btc then call me. When it gets to 10btc we can say bitcoin is "going up".

about 8 btc these days... Wink

I forgot I wrote this, but it does show just how far we have come. It also takes the issue of inflation of shit fiat our of the picture: It doesn't matter what the USD/BTC rate is, the only thing that matters is the BTC/Lambo rate.

Since Aug 2020 it's been doing.... well.

I saw this PlanB tweet after I had already drafted and posted my above post... and surely I think that PlanB and I are saying similar things - but he seems to like to get his lil selfie into trouble with his use of absolutes... but whatever.. he can do his lil thingie..

I think another issue with PlanB is the assumption that there will always be "a bear market -80% draw down" from every market top.

That's absurd to believe that. As the Bitcoin market gets bigger, volatility in either direction gets smaller. The main reason is because leverage stays relatively flat, i.e., the same amount of leverage applied to an ever increasing sized market has less and less of an effect over time in either direction.

Truth!

Though to be fair he even makes this point himself, but is betting that we don't see the real impact of the shallowing/deepening/lengthening/whatever until 1 or 2 cycles in the future.
