I find that you are doing purple fence posts to be so delightfully appropriate.  Your color... and one the locals most likely know to respect.  I guess the tradition goes back.

My moms side of the family were country folk.  I used to visit my grandfather in rural NC and we would take a couple cane poles for fishing.  We fished in a creek on his property, but that was on the edge of his neighbors property.  My grandfather, a man of few words pointed out a post with a purple top and asked me if I knew what it meant.  Nope, I said.  And he told me, it's a friendly way to warn people "if you go on that land they'll shoot ya" (the way my grandfather said it was more like "shoochee" lol).

Is this a US thing or a local Texas thing, I have never heard of it before.

I don;t think it's even the whole US.  I think it is a rural south thing.  From Virginia to Texas basically.  Maybe it goes further west.  But it is many decades old, and was a traditional thing before I think it ever ended up an actual ordinance or law, which it is now.  As in it is legally recognized as a no-trespassing signal now.  You can even see cans of paint sold specifically for the purpose.  It is often a purple not far from Bob's own trademark pink-urple color.

Yeah... I normally would not buy more Bitcoin, as I feel I have enough (can that really be said?), but that dip is far too tasty to resist.

It seems that some entity is stubbornly selling despite the lack of bitcoin inflows to the spot exchanges.

A small nit: whales selling into their own walls is not actually selling.

Although I agree or at least resonate with most of your paranoid theories ( ), this one never makes that much sense to me.  Why would the "whales" spend the money to do this.  Unless, of course, the whales are actually the exchanges themselves?

I am not questioning the validity of your theory.  I am saying I honestly do not understand it.  Can you elucidate?

Perhaps you should consider that maybe the whales only use exchanges to dump the price down while accumulating much greater amounts off-exchange at the lower prices they've created with their manipulation.

Now that I have considered extensively, and have even FREQUENTLY posted the theory.

But I see the other theory as being quite different.  That is wash trading into their own buy walls.  I GUESS that might be a somewhat cheaper way to keep the price from going too far north.  But it will keep the price from going too far south...  But save some sats in the process.  Hmm... *scratching chin*... Maybe I DO see it...

For the most part the threat of deadly force is just the teeth that define the ultimate bite in the power of the land owner.  I have known many country folk in my life.  Every one of them would ask nicely before any brandishing would occur.

But property ownership is a fundamental right in my culture (one that is under threat) and on the outskirts of civilization a man must be prepared to defend what belongs to him.

Testing the 47K support again. It seems that some entity is stubbornly selling despite the lack of bitcoin inflows to the spot exchanges. With each day, fewer and fewer people are caught by the fear of losing fiat money, i.e being weak hands. More and more people and institutions are realizing the power of hodling, including the miners. So, unlike 2018, any significant dip in the price is short lived and bought by people with Michael Saylor's understanding and motivation. It is true that we didn't see an exponential FOMO run this year, but still we are 14x from the local bottom in March 2019 and 7x from the median price around which Bitcoin was traded in 2018-2020. And this should make us happy, not sad. I don't know what the price will be tomorrow, next month or a year. But I know that better times are coming with more retail, institutional, governments etc. adoption. And whis will affect the price in a positive way, for sure.  

Sometimes I wonder if there might some need to purge some of the froth in the various shitcoin space.. even though largely I don't give too many shits, even while acknowledging ongoing froth in those various shitcoin parts..

I know it is tempting.. but you should try to stop yourself from those kinds of wishenings.

For me, it is pretty rare to get to the last buy order, so the closer that we get to my last 5-10 buy orders I start to get a little bit nervous... Of course, if we had gone up for 4x or 6.5x, then maybe it is not such a BIG deal to have several corrections along the way and to attempt to balance out some of the buy orders that had been stacking up (seemingly too much)... maybe I just have an ongoing preference for UP.. even though currently I have buy orders down to $20k, but I don't even really want anymore buy orders in the $40ks to get filled.. Of course, I am willing to tolerate such ongoing buying of BTC.. but still would prefer NOT to buy any more BTC in the $40ks.. make it stop, make it stop.. ..
