and the ring door camera records audio.. wonder how sensitive it is.. like can it record conversations inside the house near the wall its mounted on? and, if so, how near is near..

Quote
Can the Ring hear conversations inside the house?
Melissa Clarke, a county court judge in Oxford, pointed out that Woodward's Ring camera could reliably record audio at conversational volume from 68 feet away, based on an experiment carried out by one of the witnesses in the case.

68 feet from the externally camera it can record sound that far into the house? outside i can see, but inside? lol my house isnt that big in any direction. btw i saw the figure of 30 feet (outside the house) in the article, where did you see 68 feet. apologies if its right there somewhere still working on coffee atm.

i have cams setup all over my place but without going into details on types, capabilities and setup, none of them are ring cams.

Celsius...

Suggestion for the next poll:

Have you ever transferred (some of) your BTC to Celsius?

1. Yes, my entire stash.
2. Yes, a percentage of my stash.
3. NO! Not your keys, not your coins!

Anonymous poll.

I wonder what the result would be...

Well there was at least one douchebag peddling that shitty company here in WO over the last 18 months.

Either that person got rekt or was an inside shill.

So option 1. in your poll should have at least one upvote or that person has either left WO for good / can't access it because they are behind bars or is a completely dishonest fuckface.

This was a post by me back then until I came to my senses. Looks like I made the right choice in the end. Also I never put more than 5% of my holdings in total.

Thanks. Do you have any experience with any of them?

I've used all 3 of them for several months. I'd rank them generally Nexo > Celsius > BlockFi. Those rankings could change depending on your situation or use case.

I have used Celsius as well as Blockfi. Another one to consider is ledn.io as it has/had better rates than the other two with higher deposit limits.
I never used them for a loan but only as a "savings" account to accrue more BTC.
I used all 3 simultaneously for around 6 months and they all performed as stated.
However, I was constantly paranoid that they were going to do a rug pull and in the end I felt that the 4 to 6 % return per annum was just not worth the risk of losing the capital.
They may well be legitimate businesses but history has shown us that there is a reason why we say "Not your keys, Not your coins".
I think I will stick with my lousy 200% by HODLing.

Earlier this month, I and others wrote a letter to Congress, basically saying that cryptocurrencies are an complete and total disaster, and urging them to regulate the space.
..

I am a big fan of Bruce, have read all his books (well, actually not true for "Applied Cryptography" which in parts is much above my comprehension, but I tried it too) and so far all his writings have been a great inspiration and education to me, but I do not agree with most of the points he makes here. For example, he doesn't seem to get the difference (or that there is a difference at all) between POS and POW and quite a few other misconceptions AFAICS.

Anyway an interesting read to know what the crypto guys (<- cryptographers, batslap not applicable!) think about BTC, the discussion below the article is the most interesting part IMHO.

I actually found a nice clean copy of Applied Cryptography 2nd edition in a thrift shop, selling for about $5. I opened it, read some parts, leafed through it, but ultimately did not buy it since I don't have any space at home to keep it, LOL. It will probably be still there next time I go.

Those who are claiming that bottom will be at $17k seem to forget that we have already visited $17k this cycle.  Tongue
It doesn't matter what the bottom may reached to me , I just know that no matter it gets it is an opportunity that I have been looking for to buy and HODL#.

I had to experience that some top programmers really don't seem to get the importance of POW.
While they are really deep into the programming and technical side of Bitcoin ANdcRYptO.  They just do not to get the game theoretical problems that come with POS (forks, centralization, fairness, etc).

Problem seems to be, because of their high technical skills and because of Bitcoin being technically something within their profession, they think they get the game theory, but they don't.  I had some long talks until I was able to have them see the POW-topic in another light.

JUNE Ended But Records are still Counting the latest Glassnode report Say's.

Moving on the Net worth Lost of the market is more then 35% thats onchain data. Probably i will say June was the best Month as For making Buying heavy Discount's offered in the June by weaker holders, Now Book your Limit order

Due to all this June panic most the Position in Margin and Future were in short, due to expressive Pressure on market the Biggest Change in Position 151k was noticed but I'm not sure about one thing Market was Bearish people made short trades but still the more profit was cashed by the exchanges thats Questionable.

In Mid May Crash of 2021 we said that its manuplative Dip, then in JAN 2022  the things were same but LUNA, then Other 3DAO and many projects forced the market to be the extreme Bearish.

What Happed earlier is no matter now,

What is going to happen thats Questionable I'm Bullish as BTC shwed a good Volume and Market Pump so if we break the 23k Resistance now then Position will be Trend Reversal . But it seems now Bottom is done ? Yes i think Bottom is done now market is making momentum the BEAR Boys Pack the bags

Really Huh

I'm sure 😊 you are good at analysis of all the Transections then. I can't put my whole week to analyze the transfer details to take next position and pack up with the coming time,

Many onchain data guys like Willy Woo came up with the 180 degree wrong conclusions again and again in the recent years, since Glassnode and the other services popped into existence.
Some of that data is helpful, sure.  But all in all it's just another tool to convince the masses into believing a certain market narrative.
