maybe consider using shamir backup..
Thanks, always open for useful suggestions. As the NANO-S is somewhat limited, i consider some upgrade in the future, but i had some doubts (not so much related to security) to buy a trezor in the past, but i am going to look into it again soon. Just write a big note to yourself saying "Ich habe meine Bitcoins versteckt" even if someone sees the note, they wont know where thay are versteckt, and you can go searching your surroundings immediately instead of spending half a day swetting in angst.

Gute Idee It wasn't half a day, though. I could have shared my little secret with the wife, too. Typical things to forget when in a hurry...

Read this. See in particular Page 14. There is no "impact" on climate from crypto mining and not from Co2 either. Fill the whole damn atmosphere with Co2 and it won't make a degree of difference to the climate. The offending thermodynamic property that is supposed to "trap" heat (a nonsense concept) is ostensibly emissivity. But as this document demonstrates, emissivity is not a factor in the radiative equilibrium temperature for the atmosphere (See Page 14). Kirchoff's law of thermal radiation: at thermal equilibrium emissivity = absorbtivity. So if it absorbs it faster it also emits it faster and sure doesn't absorb MORE heat. (That is a property called "specific heat capacity" and Co2 in fact holds less heat than nitrogen by that measure). Mars (for example) atmosphere is 95% Co2. Yet it loses 100 degrees of surface temperature overnight without a sweat. Why ? Because its atmosphere is thinner. Earth atmospheric Co2 is a paultry four hundredths of 1 percent ! Yet it only loses 20 degrees diurnally. Why ? Because its atmosphere is thicker. It's all described here - written by a lifelong gas turbine engine designer. i.e. someone who actually understands the science of thermodynamics as opposed to a geologist, oceanographer or other hand-waving clown drawing lines and arrows all over the place.

first principals have you noticed the impact humanity has had on the environment in your lifetime? can we do better? if you answered yes to either...there is room for discussion imho it could be that simple quit listening to the hyperbole spewed by the extreme right and left...because...Lord knows....middle ground does not sell

Read this. See in particular Page 14. There is no "impact" on climate from crypto mining and not from Co2 either. F It's all described here - written by a lifelong gas turbine engine designer. i.e. someone who actually understands the science of thermodynamics as opposed to a geologist, oceanographer or other hand-waving clown drawing lines and arrows all over the place. If you're going to promote oil lobbyist brainwashed half-baked intellectuals then at least cite from actual peer-reviewed scientific journals not some wordpress bullshit from a "turbine engine designer" who cannot write a research paper correctly and uses a few rudimentary high-school physics formulas. But I guess all those graphs must have impressed you. 97 percent of scientists say man-made climate change is real. The other 3 percent's average expertise is far below that of their colleagues. source: https://www.pnas.org/doi/epdf/10.1073/pnas.1003187107I wonder which category your "turbine engine designer" belongs to? And even the most doubting of climate deniers will see the mountains of plastic, chemical waste and other disgusting shit floating in every single part of our oceans if they dunk their empty heads into the water. Do we really want to continue encouraging the pollution giants to keep doing this? Does your sushi taste better with microplastics? Or maybe cancer-causing chemicals in our air smells better than crisp, clean, fresh air? As to your misunderstanding of Kirchhoff's law of thermal radiation, you are leaving heat capacity in relation to higher mass density completely out of your equation. Keep our planet clean.

I'm sorry but science is not a popularity contest and peer review "groupthink" does not trump basic physics that been accepted for a lot longer than some faux scientific clownery that tries to pretend that 4/100ths of 1 percent of the atmosphere can act as some kind of thermal "non-return valve". It doesn't require peer review because no claim is being made that runs contrary to long-accepted principles of physics (unlike the idea of Co2 heat "trapping"). By the way, if you think that oil & gas companies are the enemies of modern day environmental nonsense think again. They are pushing it more than anyone. Look into who was Secretary General of the U.N. Conference on Environment and Development (Rio "Earth Summit") which effectively founded highly politicised bodies like the IPCC. An oil tycoon. They like it amongst other things because it serves the basis for financialising scarce resources and re-hypothicating them in the form of derivitive markets that they can control such as carbon credits.

I suck. but in the linked snapshot, the dude sucks +1 more than me.. and shahzadafzal sucks more than 2.5x more the this here kitty cat. There may well be a god, and a little moral relief in the world, no? and if I really ponder deeply into my inner lil selfie, I can think of moar worser things that I have done in my short life so far, as well. LOL, I forgive you, so you should forgive yourself as well, but you still suck more than El Duderino b/c he doesn't complain. Surely there are differing definitions of what is complaining and whether such complaining is a good thing - and in which circumstances. You're allowed to feed the cats, and you're allowed to do what you want, as we all are, just pointing out some behavioral reinforcements taking place here. Love you J, no homo.
Surely, there are ramifications to actions, and there sometimes can be difficult figuring out cause and effect, too, though each of us can have our theories in regards to causes and effects. Edit: Even though you edited your post to say I suck, too late to take back my professed love for you.
Yep.. I was on a "suck" roll... and after I had already posted, I realized that it would have been ironic to leave you out of the "suck"ing... and I don't even necessarily find it problematic when members here have sentiments that change over time... mine do to.. This is the message I got right now: Wow!!! Vitalik is much cooler than I had previously thought.

They like it amongst other things because it serves the basis for financialising scarce resources and re-hypothicating them in the form of derivitive markets that they can control such as carbon credits. My god. My physics degree is worthless. What do I know? You have opened my eyes. He obviously is such an amazing scientist that he does not need other scientists to review his papers? Or maybe the reason why his paper has no peer reviews is because he does not want anyone poking holes in his logic? Or maybe his colleagues do not want to endorse his bullshit by staking their hard-earned reputation? I wonder... His paper is basically the shitcoin of research papers. Next you're going to be telling us that there are no wrong answers in math and anyone saying otherwise are group thinkers. Literally 4 seconds of googling: https://www.theguardian.com/business/2019/mar/22/top-oil-firms-spending-millions-lobbying-to-block-climate-change-policies-says-reportHow the oil majors have spent $1Bn since Paris on narrative capture and lobbying on climateAnother 2 seconds: https://www.americanprogress.org/article/oil-lobbyists-use-rigged-system-hamstring-bidens-climate-agenda/Edit: your beloved "research paper" has a literal meme for a title... Your "scientist" seems to not have a degree title. Not even an engineering title. He's a nobody FFS, a random pedestrian larping as a scientist... He probably wears a white lab coat to family gatherings that he wasn't invited to. The denial is real.

Be my guest. I won't hold my breath as he seems a little more capable of reasoned scientific argument than you do. All he's done is use standard physics to derive the atmospheric radiative equilibrium temperatures observed without recourse to any Co2 voodoo "heat trapping" effect. My physics degree
