Seems like a lot of people buying on Huobi (probably wall street), people must be realizing that the downtrend will be reversed soon. Within a few months price will be at 100k $ per bitcoin, I am holding and buying.
"people buying on Huobi (probably wall street)" how exactly are they funding this? how will they deposit their money? Cash, check, bank transfer, alipay, qq coin, &c. Simplest is bank transfer.

I must say I quite like that system. Gives the little guy incentive to use BTC (or invest a humble amount) whilst still taking a cut from the more serious investors.

Yup that's exactly what the wall street big boys are trained to do - wire money to some strange unregulated chinese exchange that is less than a year old so they can buy a speculative commodity right as it's entering a 1W ema downcross.

Yeah, unfortunately the bitcoin scammers are now looking to Latin America as the only remaining sucker tank. Always good to have some one over look the current injustices that exists in our global financial system, to point out the flaws of human nature when dealing with bitcoin

I think that was meant as a joke. Ah yes, the famed 1w EMA downcross. You do realize that EMA's are a causal result of previous trades, not a precursor to trades that will take place in the future. They do hold as much power over future developments as does drawing random lines. Simple lesson of causality, a basic physical principle of reality.

I would observe that the 1W EMA is always down crossing, for some period, unless the price is making ATHs. If someone tells you the 1W EMA has crossed, find out what period, and then find out whether that is bullish or bearish (but don't ask the bear, because they want your bitcoins).

As things stand TA should NOT predict prices but enough people believe in the analysis that a 1w EMA downcross will affect prices. The bare minimum is that a significant TA marker will make speculators more inclined to buy/sell and in the small market bitcoin exists in it just takes one big (ish) player to get skittish and the whole herd follows. So take it as a warning of future group sentiment. After all bitcoin value is (currently) largely based on sentiment with value based on perception.

There are really some reasonable posts here where you gain some valuable insight, for example if some major news occured

Oh, don't worry, I'm skeptical about claims of any particular TA signal (and how it was derived) as well. But I responed to a post that pretty clearly questioned the *general* validity of historic analysis for future predictions in a market, hence: random walk.

However, there was a 1w EMA downcross at the end of october 2013. How did that work out?

"people buying on Huobi (probably wall street)" how exactly are they funding this? how will they deposit their money? Cash, check, bank transfer, alipay, qq coin, &c. Simplest is bank transfer. Cash.. not possible Cheque.. not possible Bank Transfer... non Chinese Yuan account ? Never seen one. the rest banned. For the record, jonoiv has established himself as a liar. FROM HUOBI https://ltc.huobi.com/ 火币网支持以下现金充值方式 火币点卡充值0手续费,7*24小时实时到账。 银行汇款充值手续费:0 处理时间:9:30--19:00 Offers 2 methods only... non of which are possible to westerners. Now prove to me where on Huobi as a non Chinese citizen can I top up with any of the following Cash, check, alipay, qq coin, &c. Then re-evaluate your statement, then appologise, then confess there is only one liar in this discussion and it's not me.
