And of course, if Jay really is a bot, wouldn't that put his opinion about CB in a shady light, a bit, perhaps? Bots, one for all, all for one? Hey

I would not want to fall too far behind.. not that I should feel that I am falling behind anyone... but still. The ONLY member that is close to passing up my number of posts is LoyceV.. At our current post rate, he will likely be surpassing me at some point in the next year or two.

I'm just bored a bit, watching my Xeon E5 crunching some numbers to distill some deep space data from three nights ago. It's old, using a spinning harddrive. At least i upgraded the system disk to a SSD, not to fall asleep before the real fun even begins... But it does it's job, every time, almost like king daddy, but not 24/7 Wasn't there some word count list of WO users, from a couple of months ago? I just realized i've been here since about six years now-

Too much, buddy EDIT: I'd recommend to change Buddy's policy to post a price update only if it moved by a certain amount of dollars. Post a buddychart only if price moves more than 1% either direction since last post. Else wait another 60 minutes and check again. import ccxt import time
# Initialize the exchange exchange = ccxt.binance() # You can replace 'binance' with your preferred exchange
# Function to get current Bitcoin price def get_bitcoin_price(): ticker = exchange.fetch_ticker('BTC/USDT') return ticker['last']
# Function to make a post def make_post(price_change): # Replace this with your actual post logic print(f"Bitcoin price changed by {price_change}%")
# Main loop while True: try: # Get the current price current_price = get_bitcoin_price()
# Check if there was a 1% change from the last post if 'last_price' in locals() and abs(current_price - last_price) / last_price > 0.01: make_post(abs(current_price - last_price) / last_price * 100)
# Update last_price last_price = current_price
except Exception as e: print(f"An error occurred: {e}")
# Wait for 60 minutes time.sleep(60 * 60)
This would also make @philipma1957 happy. damn right it would I could extend my lead over that piece of shit bot mother fucker.

Consumption of fine things after either 2024 or 2028 halvings? ..if your position lasts that long:
Example:
in 2015 less than $20 bought you 0.1btc
in 2023 0.1 btc buys you two premiere seats tickets to a U2 concert at the brand new Sphere (Las Vegas) plus a two night stay at the nice suite at Venetian or Palazzo and a two way flight. Experiences count.
8 years later..in 2031... 0.1btc buys you? A car? Likely... A modest house?..less likely, perhaps.

To each his own I suppose. not a fan of U2 or presumably conspicuous consumption? or..do you refer to gambling? Honestly, not my absolute favorable band...actually, I don't have #1.

Don't get me wrong, I still occasionally click on a U2 vid and turn up the volume. Attending a live concert? Not so much, no matter who it is. Maybe if I was 30 years younger... ... or..do you refer to gambling? ....
Gamble? naaah... I never indulge in that crap. (unless bitcoin is considered gambling...lol) I gave my brother shit about that when he visited last week. He's one of those crack scratch ticket addicts. He always loved to boast to me about his $1000 dollar scratch ticket wins. Then I asked him... "Bro, how much exactly do you spend daily on those stupid things?" I never did get straight answer out of him..... Gee, I wonder why? ..lol. I told him buying lottery tickets is a voluntary tax for the mathematically challenged, and I choose not to pay it. So take that money you throw away daily and BUY FUCKING BITCOIN!!!

I never thought about bitcoin as a gamble, but I did consider it a risky bet initially, less so now with all that happened. Never played scratch tickets, but sometimes buy a ticket when lottery is over a billion...don't know why, really, lol. Gambling in Vegas is typically not for me either...but I have a funny story about it...many many years back, on my first and the last trip there, in my first game, I put a quarter in the machine and it gave me a royal flush-$250 worth of tokens. I spent some time in the next couple of days (was there on some symposium) gambling away about 2/3 of it in small games, but still went back with almost $100 of free money in my pocket. Good times...but too much light everywhere.
