"In a nutshell, the network works like a distributed
timestamp server, stamping the first transaction to spend a coin. It
takes advantage of the nature of information being easy to spread but
hard to stifle." -- Satoshi

dude if Santa Claus is real Jesus would be real.
Saint Nicholas was definitively real. Now, it depends on whether you believe sainthood is some kind of divine bestowment or something awarded by a church run and managed by mortal and flawed men. But there you go. Nicholas of Myra and Jesus of Nazareth were both real men. Divine bestowment of either one by power-hungry, revenue-based organizations is what's up for debate

Jesus was real. was he the son of god did he raise from the dead 💀 ? Was not there I do not know. lots of saints were real people.
were the real saints. was not there I do not know.
Indeed... Adam and Eve, Noah's ark and talking snakes could have been real too. I don't know, I wasn't there. Yeah, I have no doubt back in the olden days some dude in sandals went around preaching his stuff. Just like these televangelists do today and suck in the gullible. Difference being, back than science was basically non existent, so I don't blame the average goat herder for believing every word out of this Jesus character's mouth and becoming a cult follower. Then the apostles (or whatever you call em) assembled their fairy tales into a book of made up bullshit, sold it to the masses, and voila, Christianity. 2000 years later and still to this day, its the biggest hoax ever pulled on mankind... AKA religion. One would think in this day and age of science and technology etc. folks would be laughing at the silly beliefs the ancients had. But you would be wrong. 2023, and a vast swath of the worlds population still believe in superstitious nonsense.

One time I gave 20+ merits here to an account I thought was here out of their own general interest... they joined a signature campaign within a week, and later it turned out to be the 5th alt account of a banned user (they got their ban removed and are still posting here under at least 2 other accounts, but that's not the point).
I remember I think he is naim027. I remember his story how he got perban first, then unban, then again ban (with alternative accounts confession). If I am not wrong. I mentioned naim027 for Negotiation. He should go through his story.

Whenever BTC pumps, I like spending the coin in my hot wallet to buy some PM. Because PM dealers accept BTC. Roach would be proud of me. lol I've almost completed my (now dead)Queens Beast 10oz silver coin collection. All bought with free BTC from various shitcoin airdrops and Pay Pal points. Sweeeet. I'm on a waiting list for the last 2 to complete the set of ten.

OK I'm gonna try to give you some helpful advice: stop posting what you think other people want to hear. Post your own, original thoughts. It helps if you can contribute something useful or original to the forum in general... in other threads (not this one). Maybe you look at other posters who have learned how to get merits here by saying the right things and you're trying to be like them -- don't. Its annoying and I will never merit them.

Since then, I almost never spend merits on any account less than a Hero in here. If it seems like they are just posting here to get merits, forget it, I will never help them anywhere.
I do not only want merit I want from advise more people. I will try to implement your advice properly. 3300 posts under 200 merits is impressive if in the negative sense. I am going to walk on the beach on the jersey shore. Its a nice day. I will read some of his posts and maybe. he has a few good ones. Some times I may read two shit posts from a low count guy and then decide to never merit them. So I will read up on him. his third post made in 2019 was okay https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5162520.msg51734686#msg51734686I read three posts from the earliest posts he did. I gave him 2 merits. I suggest reading his oldest posts first. I am wondering if he feels slighted and I can detect what happened to him. I will read more. I will try more productive posts. I remember I think he is naim027. I remember his story how he got perban first, then unban, then again ban (with alternative accounts confession). If I am not wrong. I mentioned naim027 for Negotiation. He should go through his story. Suspicion is not always correct, many people know me personally here, but I don't want to mention them. Finally, I can say good mind, careful for health, advise and help others... Thanks all.

Anyone here who made it with Bitcoin but still keeps living like a average person? Thank god I made it, thanks to Bitcoin. But I keep staying in cheap hotels, try to eat good food but without spending unnecessary money etc. For example, I eat a good steak but I don’t choose a steak house but prefer a supermarket where you buy the meat from the butcher and then they cook it for you in the built in restaurant.. That costs me 20 bucks vs 60-80 bucks in the steak house for the same meat. I’m not sure if this is a good or a bad habit. I hate to spent money on things that do not give me more benefits than the cheaper version. A luxury hotel is nice but at the end you just need it for the night sleep. I’m outside all day exploring. Some people spent 500 bucks a night for a hotel. I try to safe 5€ per night by finding the same hotel over google. Usually I pay 40-50€ per night for a hotel
Another example, I live in the center of Bangkok and stay in a luxury apartment in Asok. The room is only 30 sqm and it costs me 700 euros a month. I could have a 60 sqm apartment in the same building but would cost me 1400 Euros. I just can’t justify spending that much money every month because it’s money I won’t ever see again. So, I live on a budget, but still in a luxury place. Trying to find the middle way when it comes to spending money.
Would be interesting to hear different opinions on this topic. Some people spent it on yachts and lambos. I try to live as cheap (but good) as possible.
