I agree with the first statement but not the second. Why would you ever consider trading back to fiat? I would rather see Bitcoin drop to 0 before trading back to fiat.
buying nice things ? I'm pretty sure many are getting back quite some life changing amount and they will consider cashing out a part for ... see above I prefer to buy things i need over things that are nice. For now, i'm satisfied with my current life, so no real need to change it. At least not this early that's exactly what I'm talking about: for some it's not early anymore and they are sitting on a 50x or 100x and btw buying things you need is nice as well... isn't it? I've been getting by on nothing for so long now, I don't feel like I need anything. Maybe a case of Indian River Ruby Red Florida grapefruit... but that's about it. haven't sold a satoshi for about 8 years but not everyone is the same I love fruits btw. I rarely eat vegetables.. have you ever tried Japanese (blue) grapes? I think only very ripe blue gooseberries come close to that kind of taste

I worked on a farm when I was young - there's nothing like Cortland apple fresh off the tree. After bringing in straw for 10 to 12 hours, I would cycle by the orchard on the way out and grab the biggest one I could find to eat on the way home

I've never had the pleasure. It's hard to find rare fruits around here but I'll keep my eyes peeled. (that was lame, sorry)

Not in my understanding. When i don't need some thing, i likely wouldn't buy it. So it's not quite nice if i have to... That's also the reason why i actually repair most of my stuff if it breaks. I just don't want to buy replacements for stuff many people would just throw away if malfunctioning. I like to live on a small environmental footprint, too. Regarding special hobbies, i am open to the more "nice things" side of purchases, but i usually think at least twice about these. #GN

You all know this doesn't have legs right? I don't think there's been a better sell signal in all of history for anything.
Look who’s back! The alpaca is backa. Edit: Some people still don't know the difference between an alpaca and a llama. All I want to know is... can I still buy Alpaca socks with bitcoin?

Yeah, not every one of us here is gifted. I remember times a decade before Bitcoin when i was in about the same situation, buying things wise. I'm glad i'm well past these times, but they had taught me well, too. #YIN #YANG have a good night, may we all wake up to another ATH tomorrow

In my opinion, the distribution of the MtGox coins will be a nothingburger.
There are 140k btc to be distributed among like 40k creditors. Thinking all those creditors will immediately sell all their coins is just silly. Some will, some won't, but definitely not all.
Unlike OgNasty, who thinks all of them will be sold immediately, let's make an assumption that half of them will hit the market in the near future. Let's also make the assumption that they will evenly get sold during the span of a month. That's 2.2k (65k/30) coins per day. 2.2k btc per day is nothing. For reference, the net inflow yesterday for the btc ETF's was 10k btc.
I know I've said it before, but as a creditor myself I have no plan to sell any coins once I get them.
Selling anything right now would just be silly, we are in the beginning of a bull market ffs.

Apples are so divers in taste it's almost a miracle. Even when apples get old and mealy you can grate them and they taste delicious again (at least most of them) Sorry, I had to take the youngest to a birthday party. The flesh is bright white, slightly crispier than a Macintosh but sweeter while still being tart and very juicy. My grandma used tell me, "Those are cooking apples!" but I wasn't much of a cook back then (well, I cooked but not pies), it satisfied my hunger on the ride home and they are delicious (not the apple variety delicious). I can get them here still in season but generally, I get whatever Costco has - Honeycrisp, if I'm feeling wealthy, Ambrosia or Gala otherwise. I would get the Macs but my my wife and kids think they're too soft. I like fruits too and we usually have a good selection of fruits on hand - we always have apples, mandarins (or clementines), seedless grapes and bananas... fresh strawberries if they're available otherwise a bag of frozen sliced. For some reason, the Florida oranges and grapefruit have been very difficult to find these last few years. I did find some Florida Ruby Red grapefruit by accident a couple weeks ago - we had a visitors staying over so I prepared some at breakfast and I was told by one of them, "I don't really like grapefruit." and I said, "Well then, I suspect you haven't tried one of these; just take a spoon and see if you like it." and after they tried it, they couldn't believe how sweet it was, finished it and then accused me of putting sugar on it. I did not. I'd better stop giving away my secrets or it'll be even harder to find Indian River Ruby Reds and Ethiopian Guji, Gigesa coffee beans. It's the same thing that happened to bitcoin when I told everyone how good it was.
