Do not really care about their discussion of a 1% (wow!) spent on bitcoin. Vote away...one way or another.
MSF buying Bitcoin would probably be the "ok" for other big businesses to do the same. It could mark the beginning of the run on BTC by institutions ...after which countries will follow. Nothing is a signal to anyone...Saylor was buying bitcoin for years...and who followed? A small japanese company plus skittish Tesla? I know, they are few others, but on a VERY limited basis. I don't think you can equate Tesla buying Bitcoin to Microsoft buying Bitcoin. Elon has a reputation for doing off the wall things that others don't understand. Microsoft is a pretty well established and reputable company. At the very least... I don't see how it would be a bad thing for adoption if Microsoft was to buy... even a little bit. Microsoft had actually integrated bitcoin merchant purchasing into the Windows, Windows Phone, and XBox UI interfaces... 10 years ago....and then promptly removed it. So why all of a sudden would they be seen as a Bitcoin champion supporter? Why would a Microsoft bitcoin purchase mean fuck all at this point? It means something because it shows that companies like Microsoft that are making more money than they know what to do with are looking at alternative options to the dollar. That means all S&P500 companies could also follow suit. Those companies are currently sitting on 2.5 trillion dollars in cash. Outside of the US Government, this is the single biggest target for a store of value proposition that Bitcoin has. That is why it matters. We need them to get to $300K.

I heard all this "We need mass corporate adoption to get to ___X__Y__Z__ price!" ten years ago.
It was all FOMO hype rumor, and zero follow through.
The result:
A. It didn't happen.
and
B. It didn't matter.

My thoughts are any large established company buying Bitcoin is positive. We still want mass adoption right? I could care less about Microsoft in particular. I just see them as a top S&P 500 company bringing more attention to Bitcoin.

Zero? A million coins bought by companies in the recent years isn't nothing! Sure it took a while, but saying nothing happened is laughable on a side note, Mow and Back just met with Nadella (Microsoft CEO)

So now we are fighting a proxy war with Russia & North Korea through Ukraine and a proxy war with Iran through Israel. If China gets involved it will be difficult to call this anything other than World War III.

It reminded me how the Roman Empire came to an end. Once the atomic bomb was leaked in the 50s American lost hand. So if they had an empire it was from 1945 to 1955 or less. As China and Korea vs USA and Korea was supposedly when CHina and Russia did not have the bomb. America never really had the power England had back in the day.
