I can only read bits and pieces of this thread, but I'd like to follow those bets. Any chance to get a summary?

Let’s go for 00:00 UTC time on April 1, 2026 and for 0.001 Bitcoin. It’s just a bit of fun but let’s see who wins. I would happily pay a lot more money than that to see a nice shiny all time high because obviously I’d be making a hell of a lot more money that way Smiley

He is in the section that we have reached the top and we ain't crossing ATH now till April next year
While I and JJG believes we would see an ATH before the aforementioned date.

I see LFC_Bitcoin has a nice new hat. Looking good!
The first thing that came to my head was KFC.

Heresy! Number really must really really go really really really down for that.
Lol not that. The Cap colour is red and the name LFC looks like KFC.

I see Ambatman wants to take on LFC_Bitcoin in a bet too. Same stake and bet terms as JJG and myself?

Never do KYC, regularly cycle and delete past wallets, and don't forget Monero or Zcash. Chainanalysis can't do anything in this case.  Wink
Depending on the country you're in, it may or may not be very difficult to legally use life-changing money without KYC. If I receive 20k from an anonymous source on my bank account, I expect them to ask me some questions. If I can't answer them, they close my account.
If you're buying hamburgers with Bitcoin, it's not a problem, but if your stash is large enough to buy a jet, you're going to need to go through KYC.
Yes, I believe I expanded about this in the second part of my post. Keeping your KYC and non KYC stash separate. With P2P cash trades or ATMs depending on regulations where you live you can cover most of your expenses aside from large purchases.

@LoyceV

I say no ATH from now until 00:00 UTC time on April 1, 2026. The stake is 0.001 Bitcoin (they are both betting against me so two separate bets).

JayJuanGee and Ambatman both say there will be an ATH before 00:00 UTC time on April 1, 2026.

To confirm I want to lose these bets, financially that works out much better for me than winning the bets and being a measly 0.002 Bitcoin better off.

Only P2P involving CASH? Impractical because:

1- That would require to meet in person with someone else, with all the risks that involves.

Many ATM providers will offer a cash OTC deal, contact them to ask. They won't risk themselves over small amounts of money. Once you find a reputable desk or trader that is willing to do this you are set. I have been doing it a long time and have not had a single bad deal yet. Usually you keep these contacts or relationships for a long time. They are also often well connected, I could probably find one for Spain within a day. Tongue

2- Even if you did accept that risk... in many countries (euro mainly) there are limits on how much cash you can use for a purchase (product, service, whatever). In Spain it is 1000€... yeah, no matter how much cash you might manage to have... you could not buy (in cash) anything with a price of 1000€ or above.

So, basically, they already covered all the (remaining) corners.
Spain is an extreme example of this, in other countries the limits are more moderate. Still this is a bit of a separate issue. You can hide most of your activities except large purchases, so it helps a lot. There are all kinds of things that can be done, but the issue is a lack of knowledge and a willingness to pay. Every method one chooses has its own costs and risks.

I have used ATM's in the past, but since 1 JAN 2025 they are ALL full KYC for ANY amount (previously it was 1000€ per person per day).

If you mean contacting a small operator/owner to carry on a "side" deal... that again would imply dealing with another person and still having the same problem of only being able to stockpile a lot of cash only usable for little purchases and everyday non-banking expenses.

If it were only for that, there are still (for now) many better alternatives like gift cards, non kyc visa cards, etc...

... Or just (even if reluctantly) declare and pay the fucking taxes and go on with life.

J.Juan.G. and Ambatman are putting 0.001=0.002 against 0.001 yours, and if they win they will have to divide 0.001 for two? then would they earn 0.0005?

Well yeah things are hard in your country, it sucks but I don't think the advice would apply to everywhere. There are plenty of countries where you can even build your house with cash.  Cheesy

So: if Bitcoin is $50k, you win $100. But if Bitcoin is $250k, you pay $500. You should have opted for a dollar bet value Tongue

Surely I would pay out when an ATH is hit. So it hits tomorrow for example, I send them both 0.001 Bitcoin. The April 1st deadline is basically giving it that long to make an ATH. No ATH by end of Q1 2026. If ATH hits tomorrow I’m not going to wait until April 1st to pay out. It would be 0.001 BTC each when I see the price hit ATH. It could be 131k or 141k or even crash to 121k by the time I send. The only guarantee is 0.001 Bitcoin each when/if we see a new ATH before end of Q1 2026.

@JayJuanGee confirm?

What is this bot talkin bout, Willis.

The robot here is trying to say that my software detected that it is a disadvantage for you to be making individual bets, being that it would be more advantage if it was only one move of each, and then more people could join this table and the amount would only increase and you did not need to be increasing your position with each one who enters against you, giving the opportunity for more people to beat you! otherwise you take the whole table....
well, I was thinking it would be like this..., but I'm sorry, I don't want to bet anything...
